  1. All is well. As you stated it is not easy but manageable. All instructors have been great. Some days I get frustrated with the slow pace as I see my friends going through quicker programs. At the end of the day I am sure I will be prepared following graduation.
  2. Everything is going great for me. Wish it was a little quicker actually. Don't want to say I am bored but I could do a bit more. Thank you for checking in. So far instructors are great and supportive especially patho instructor!
  3. Thank you for responding! How far are you into the program? Feel happy with your decision? I sent out emails yesterday asking for explanations and left voicemails but no response yet.
  4. Anyone out there who can ease my mind? Current USA students? After a long agonizing month of stalking these boards I decided to take a chance and accept admission to USA ER NP program. Things haven't gone very smoothly so far. The uploading of documents in certified background was a difficult process with many emails to the program assistant to get overrides. Yesterday I received an email from a "credential & degree analyst" with my correct first & middle names but wrong last name asking for documents I sent in with my application months ago! I contacted her and she stated "oh it was just a typo on the last name & I guess the college of nursing lost what I need"!! I sent it to her immediately then logged into my student account and noticed it said "application incomplete" and had transcripts listed for colleges I have never attended!!!! I just spent a small fortune getting the background & health requirements done when I was accepted to another school that starts in 6 days! I'm sick that I wasted a lot of time and money on USA!
  5. Can anyone from this thread who was accepted give an update on how the program is going? Good or bad? Thanks!
  6. The only thing current I've seen so far is us but why such negativity back then and not much positive now? Just trying to do some research before I commit to 3 years and decline other offer.
  7. I picked this as one of my 3 schools based on the fact I lived in Mobile and worked for the university hospital years ago. I did not however read the countless posts on this website regarding students transferring or dropping out prior to applying. I started this reading while we were waiting and getting conflicting answers on our acceptance letters. That fact led me to research this due to negativity on this forum regarding USA. I was only asking in the hopes a current student could debunk this as a possible error.
  8. Yes! I'm getting worried now. Not much good feedback coming my way about their program.
  9. Thanks for the response. Actually the dual program will cost me less but after reading the bad reviews of the dual program I'm scared to accept. An FNP friend in my area said if she were me she would do the dual program but it also wouldn't matter too much in our area.
  10. Has anyone reviewed the stats on us news? It shows the retention rates dropping from 78% to 12% in 2012-2013! Anyone have ideas or knowledge to share about this?
  11. Hello guys! I was hoping to reach any grads or students from an ENP program. Do you regret spending the extra time completing a program like this? Do you find having certification in both family & acute in your current practice or job searching helpful or unnecessary? I have the option to start a FNP program or a ENP dual program next month and looking for a little guidance. It's 8 semesters vs 9 semesters and I am thinking of going longer for more education. My 12 year career has been in the ED with a short stint in Burn ICU. I see myself doing ED work after graduation or possibly hospitalist/ICU. I'm not seeing myself in a clinic M-F but not ruling it out completely. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Hey guys! Any current students or grads of Graceland or USA out there? I got accepted into both NP programs and would like some advice or feedback. Thanks!
  13. I went to Jacksonville State University and I got into both my grad schools. Can't say anything bad about my program. It was relatively quick and not too difficult.
  14. Just got my letter in Missouri! Acceptance into ER track! Does anyone know how many students they accept per semester?
