I'm currently working at Ochsner main campus but am very interested in the Veterans Hospital in New Orleans. Was wondering if there are any RN's who's has had experience at the VA that can tell me what it's like over there. Thanks!

Hello all! I am currently an RN in New Orleans at Ochsner Hospital. I am looking for a change and have an interview with LHC group on Friday. I am looking for advice and hopefully someone who is or has worked for them! My question is how is the pay? I currently make around 65k annually (working nights) I'm wanting to know how many pets would I have to see weekly to equal or surpass this. Also, the charting... I don't want to end up working 5, 12 hour days bc of charting... so how Is charting? I'm sorry I literally know NOTHING about HH, so any reviews are VERY WELCOMED! Thank you!

I just applied also. I'm so nervous. According to my calculations my profile score is 75, I'm praying to God I get in! This will be my third time applying!!!

Well that just makes me nervous! I've applied two times before and was denied. I just applied for the third time and my profile score is 75. Does anyone know for sure what the score requirements are?

I calculated wrong its a 60. Is it still too low? I did retake my HESI and literally made the exact same score as I did before. I was trying to avoid retaking any classes if possible but it looks like that isn't going to be possible.

Fall semester has more applicants. The questions are finding out your basic information and you then have to write a paragraph on why you have chosen nursing for your career, goals etc. go to dcc.edu and view the application

I was not accepted for Fall of 2013, so I will be reapplying for Spring 2014. My current profile score is about an 50-55. I have a couple of C's in my grades that gives me a GPA of 2.8. I made a 82.33 on my HESI. I am wondering if I even stand a chance of being accepted for the RN program. If anyone has any input or advice please leave here for me! The more comments the better!!! All my prereqs have been completed also.
