Hi adamRn79, I am preparing to submit my application for the forensic MSN program at Duquesne now, and would be curious to hear more about the experience some students are having. Do you know if things have improved? Comfort14, did you start the forensics program before deciding to switch? I could definitely use some guidance before I commit to a program There is very little information on Forensic programs offering an MSN. Thanks!

Hey everyone. I have been searching for current experiences from forensic nurses and/or students and I am coming up short. Has anyone gone through an online MSN Forensics program within the last one to two years?? I would love to hear your thoughts on the experience. Also, I will be moving to Phoenix, AZ, so I'll likely need an online option. So far I have looked into Monmouth University and Duquesne. Any personal experiences and advice with regards to online programs would be GREATLY appreciated. I've considered the certified forensic nurse route, as that is obviously faster and easier, but I would ultimately like to get my masters. Definitely open to all advice and options for you forensic nurse pro's out there!! Thanks in advance!

getting NETY?? I feel like a really rude and unnecessary comment was made as opposed to helping me!!! Thanks for the great advice. I guess I was at my wits end yesterday trying to figure out which way to go with the whole thing.....and yes, I was searching on the internet etc. Generally, diagnosis would be centered around a problem and not wellness so I was hoping to get clarification or recommendation. So much for that. Lesson learned. I have been an ER nurse for 15 years, btw. Should have known, though, there are always those out there looking to sound like the pro! Big oversight on my part yes but rub my nose in it!

Run baby run, I don't appreciate your rude comment! First of all, I live over seas and can't access something like a book as easy as that. Amazon delivery takes up to 3 weeks. Second, I am an RN and have been for many years. I know exactly how to go about this whole thing but I have been out of it for a number of years and did not anticipate needing to write a nursing diagnosis being that this is an online BSN program. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to be completely useless and come across as a jerk. I just needed an opinion or recommendation being that I have limited resources at the moment. Seriously!!

Hey There...Could someone please help me with determining a nursing diagnosis?? I do not have a book on hand and this is due ASAP! This is not for a care plan, I just need one priority need diagnosis based on a previously done health assessment. My problem is that the person is very healthy, active, and has no medical history to speak of. I'm thinking a wellness or risk for diagnosis would be best. My guess on priority would be related to the strong family history for substance abuse/alcohol abuse or obesity (the pt does not show direct risk for this, however, in terms of behavior). The only medical complaint is occasional headaches. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi There! I'm new to Chamberlain and will start in Sept with 1 class, Transitions In Nursing. I read on a thread somewhere that the book is useless. Any recent experiences. I don't want to need the book and not have it. I live in Belgium so I can't get anything quickly, lol. Also, I've seen mention of book rentals. Where is this done generally or where is recommended? I've never rented a textbook. Thanks! I'm excited but nervous to be a student again after a long break!
