I registered too but I had been in contact with someone at the school who said a couple weeks ago not to register until we were told but I saw today that like 10-15 people had registered so I went ahead and signed up too!

Hello All! So I plan on applying for MUSC's BSN program to start in the spring of 2016. I applied for Fall this year however I did not get in do to my lack of actual work experience in a healthcare facility. As of right now my overall GPA is a 3.5, my science GPA is a 3.25, and my pre req GPA is a 3.2. I just recently got a job as a tech at MUSC so I will hopefully have a couple of months worth of work to add to my resume and application. I also currently have 100 volunteer hours however I am beginning to volunteer at MUSC's Children Hospital in a couple weeks so hopefully by August when I actually submit my application I will have closer to 130-140 hours of volunteer hours in the healthcare setting. I was told on my first application that my essay was great as well as my references even though those were not healthcare professionals. I am very hopeful to get in this second time around. I look forward to hearing from others who plan to apply :)

Hey! I just applied for the Fall 2015 semester and was not accepted however I will be reapplying in August for Spring 2016 semester as well. Do you have any work experience in a hospital? I have a 3.5 cumulative GPA as well, a 3.25 science GPA, and a 3.18 pre req GPA cause I got a C in stats. I had 75 hours of volunteering on my first application and I will have over 100 on my next application. When I called to find out why I was not accepted they said my application was great all around except for the fact that I had no real work experience in the healthcare setting. If you don't already I would strongly suggest getting a job in a hospital, with a Public Health degree you could probably work as a case manager however I think they want to see hands on working like PCT jobs. I don't know for sure I just am going by what I was told over the phone. I really hope I get in for the spring however I think your stats are great!!

They accepted a lot of out of state! Normally it's only like 10-15 out of state!

Hmm they told me they still had to process stuff and that it would be a couple weeks but maybe she meant we just wouldn't hear for a couple of weeks since the letters are not going out until next week. Either way hopefully within the next 2 weeks we will all know our fate!! :) Thanks for calling SummerWertz!

So they have decided some of the people not getting into the program, just not about the people getting into the program? lol

Just called...they said it would be another 2-3 weeks before they sent out acceptance letters :/

hello all! I spoke to someone in admissions today, she said they should be meeting the last week of February or first week of march and letters should be in the mail the first or second week of march! hopefully that means we all should definitely know by 15 march! :)

https://www.musc.edu/nursing/academics/undergraduate/ and the search bar is at the top. my whole clinical group scored between a 72 and 81 lol one of our girls got there at 9:02 though so she didn't even get to take it!

I got a 72, a little disappointed because I wanted at least a B but I was just happy I passed and I am ready for the next one lol. If you go to the musc website and go to academics and type in the search bar "nursing applications" it should be the first result on the page. You can only see if you on an musc computer so it sucks for people like me who cant see if but if you're able to access it can you post and update picture on here please :)

definitely by march, i know the last fall semester had 425 applicants so we had 100 less and they found out around 15-18 march so I'm hoping we find out in the beginning of march and at the latest mid march like the last fall group :)
