I am entering my second year of the LPN program at NorQuest College. I am having a very difficult time finding information on which hospital units LPNs are not permitted to work. Specifically in Alberta, Canada. I am interested in knowing whether or not I need to continue on and become an RN in order to work on a Trauma team or in Cardiac care units, ICU and Pediatric ER (THE Stollery). If anyone works at the University of Alberta or the Royal Alex I would really appreciate any information you have. I understand that policy is different depending on the institution.
