RKBale 07/09/13 I would really appreciate some HELP and any comments. I have to make a decision very soon, possibility this week to choose a For-Profit school in Tampa, FL. I have made 3 choices so far and I don’t know which one has a bad reputation and/or a good RN school. They are Keiser, Rasmussen, or Everest. I am aware for-profit is expensive but at my age unfortunately I cannot to waste time. Keiser, first I read all good then bad. They have been NLNAC for a while to my understanding. The problem I have with Keiser is classes start this Sept 1st, 2013 (TEAS V). It’s already mid-July, and have only maybe, maybe have less than a month to study!! I have not been in school for quite some time and want to take AP1 & 11 over again. I really need to know in each category of TEAS V, what is the percentage of questions. Math – what kind? I had Everest tell me ratio, proportions, metrics, percentages – NOT from what I’ve read. Can someone please breakdown the math? So I do not think that’s enough study time for the TEAS V and I only have one book with good reviews (ATI TEAS V). Are there any other books that would really help me if I were to crunch this before Sept. 1st??? Rasmussen, I really like it but they are a “candidate” for NLNAC. They told me it should be a few months and I would be grand-fathered in. Now their classes don’t start until Oct. 7th which would be better for TEAS V study. One of their other campuses is already NLNAC Both Keiser and Rasmussen have always followed up with me. NOT Everest. Everest: I had been speaking with the RN Admissions Rep. who was the best person to talk to they said. Short story – last week I called her every day for a week and she didn’t return my phone call until this past Monday. End of story. Everest is now NLNAC and their classes start Oct. 14th (great). It’s a strange thing that Everest last Sept. 2012 (not NLNAC) I made an appointment with an admissions rep. to tell them I wanted to change my major to RN. Two rep’s did everything they could to change my mind. I asked why, they told me they don’t have enough teachers that are licensed. PLEASE, has anyone been to any of these colleges? Which is the best, or the worst??? I have only one ATI book. Could anyone suggest any other books for the TEAS V??? I would sincerely appreciate any thing .
