  1. Yay! I got an interview with usf too! I submitted my application on 2/10 and got verified on 2/22. Background info to give others piece of mind...My average Joe stats: 3.56 GPA, ADN with Bachelors in Bio, 1 year 6 months in CVICU and 6 months in Cardiac Clinic. Good luck guys!
  2. Just wondering what everyones GPA is. mine is 3.56.... Wonder if i have a chance
  3. I guess that means more waiting around to find out huh?
  4. Exciting news! But it also makes sense that they're taking more applicants since its an annual admission now rather than twice a year
  5. You guys are lifesavers! I just called to confirm also and they said that if everything is in by the 15th and NursingCas is still "Verifying" then im still safe and counted! Thanks guys!
  6. Hey guys just a question. Ive submitted my application February 10th and Nursingcas is still verifying my application with no complete date... Am I safe since I submitted everything by Feb. 15 the deadline? Or am I screwed since they probably won't send it out until after the 15th?
  7. Thanks for your response RNS2B_2013! There seems to be too many terms that I am not familiar with lol... But regarding the readings that the syllabus suggest for each unit, is anyone following that? It seems to be kind of misguiding on what it wants us to know. Oh and should we even study the powerpoints since we only need to know the objectives?
  8. anyone know if we have to memorize all the key terms for mondays quiz?
  9. Thanks for your response SKFORD713 But I was wondering how are we suppose to secure the folder themselves when turned in with the 3 ring binder. I mean theres no way to put the folders in since there are no holes to slide on the rings... Do we just turn the folders in individually, or maybe by placing them inside the pockets of the binder?
  10. Guys, How exactly are we suppose to put the different color folders inside the Blue 3 ring binder if the folders have prongs with no holes to place through the binder rings?
  11. To the day/morning students, how was the first day?
  12. So did anyone print out the student handbook? All i printed out was the syllabus... Do we need to print the handbook or is online viewing sufficient?
  13. Hey guys, I also missed the syllabus review and was wondering if they will once again go over all of what you guys mentioned in the 1st week? Or do we have to come in with everything prepared (like the folders)? Thanks!
  14. Did you do what mhasan77 posted? I followed his instructions except I printed that page out and signed/dated then re-uploaded it back to CB. Got accepted.
  15. So what are we suppose to wear the first day guys? uniform or clinical attires? Anyone bringing their books?
  16. RNS2B, - I believe you get the ATI Testing Signature Form from the school/skills lab once you complete your ATI testing. - The two forms you mentioned are available for download on CB and will be completed with your instructor on your first day of class. - I'm not sure I've heard of the self assessment test, but if you're talking about the Assessment of Health Status form, that's available on CB also. Sorry if I didn't answer your questions correctly.. But yea, I have a question myself to anyone that can help. Does anyone know where to obtain the TB questionnaire form? The school says that the physicians provide them, but my doctor has never heard of them. Please help!
  17. JenniferWarner, I thought the BP cuff at the book store was quite pricey so I looked on amazon and came across a stethoscope/ BP cuff combo and with the abundant amount of positive reviews from RNs/ etc., I went for them. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Lumiscope-Purple-Blood-Pressure-Stethoscope/dp/B00DDY8U02/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375809738&sr=8-1&keywords=lumiscope Still looking for some comfortable shoes also... The last part of the fingerprint is to be completed by the school once they get around to it i guess. Did mine awhile back but its still awaiting completion by the school.. Hoped that helped.
  18. Hey guys, Just got my results for MMR titer and it came back negative . Does anyone know where to get the cheapest vaccinations? The pinellas health clinic wants $67 per shot, which is still quite expensive. Thanks!
  19. Hi guys, Sorry, where are you finding this syllabus under? I looked everywhere on angel and I know that you just posted the links but I just wanted to make sure that I can access everything. And Highwaygirl, do you know if the tax exemption would apply to printing the syllabus if we choose to print it out within the next 2 days? Thanks!
  20. Has anyone assigned to Baypines V.A. Hospital gotten an email from them regarding mandatory orientation and fingerprinting?
  21. So for the eBook option, what is everyone using as their device? I am considering getting an iPad mini or iPad 2, but dont know if either will be good/fast enough for the ebooks...
  22. Hey guys, If you chose evening classes, are you automatically considered to graduate in 16 months (continuing through the summer) or do you have to go apply for that program? Thanks!
  23. JenniferWarner, There was a hint at orientation that there were people who haven't checked their emails, hence getting dropped. So stay hopeful! "fingers crossed" I think I am going with the print + ebook option just to have physical material at home. Plus we can sell the books for some money when were done and still have the ebooks forever.. Can anyone recommend a good and cheap stethoscope thats comparable to a littmanns?
  24. Thankyou for all the responses guys. Completely helpful information! I would like to share to those who have not gotten their CPR certification to check out Babcock Healthcare Educational Services on 2620 5th Avenue North. Their number is 727-321-8002 and I think they have a class this Saturday. Class was small and easy to learn, super cool instructor and was out in 2 hours!
  25. Can someone help with my question in my previous post please? I've called SPC and they've not heard of the mentioned forms/requirements...
