  1. https://www.facebook.com/groups/440875482727493/ alright, so I got excited and made an FB group...let me know if you have trouble accessing it! to those of you on the waiting list, I wish you the best!
  2. Alright, I'll hold off on the FB deal :)
  3. So I've seen that past admitted applicants on allnurses have made facebook groups...anyone interested in having that? Meet each other, panic about housing together, etc.
  4. Best of luck to you, jns1md! I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you until then
  5. Yay ellelevy!! Congratulations!
  6. Sorry to those of you that haven't heard back yet hopefully, soon! I had a cumulative GPA of 3.24, and GRE scores155 verbal and 147 quantitative with 4.5 AWA. Prereqs were mostly As and Bs with one C. Really, I think my extracurriculars are what saved me. I was a volunteer EMT for 3.5 years and did a bunch of service trips that allowed me to use my EMT skills. Hope this helps!
  7. Congratulations to everyone!! Yay!!
  8. I'm in!!! My hands are shaking lol what a shock
  9. Anyone know yet? Now I've scared myself into not checking, haha 😧
  10. Sorry jns1md, I'm a little ridiculous good luck to you on the MSN program!
  11. @fjjones thanks for the great replies! Very informative!
  12. I don't have this CSS on my to-do list, but I don't recall doing it. What is it?
  13. Nothing in my inbox or junk...I'm just going with the assumption that my course titles and descriptions were simply straightforward enough that there was no question about them. For my own sanity, haha
  14. I haven't applied to any fellowships/scholarships yet. If I don't have an admissions decision tomorrow, I'll go ahead and apply before deadlines pass.
  15. Definitely didn't get that. Crud. When did you submit your app?
  16. ...I can't wait that long...if I haven't heard anything by 12:30 tomorrow, I'm giving the office a call and will let y'all know what comes of it!
  17. Don't worry, I will eat enough for both you and me, lumen Oh,I think I will download the app too! As soon as anyone knows anything, please let the rest of us know! Much appreciated!
  18. Yeah, I'm about to go eat my feelings in the form of a giant tub of Checkers fries... Sorry I brought up the interview possibility, I just got a little freaked when jns1md posted about scheduling an interview, even though he/she applied for BSN only. My B! Fingers crossed that we all find out very soon!
  19. OPUS is working for me right now. Not that it has an answer for me or anything...I'm going to have no fingernails by the time I get a decision.
  20. Yes, crazy stressful... I'm wondering what the transition was like for you. Do you feel like the switch from undergrad went pretty smoothly or did you feel like you were drowning for awhile? Also, what's your specialty? I would ask you about housing, but I'm not sure if I'm going to need that answer
  21. Yeah, that's what I thought too, I just can't help but think that we would have to do interviews if there were a lot of applicants to a particular specialty. Guess we will know tomorrow...
  22. Hey y'all! I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything from the ABSN/MSN program admissions directors regarding what time decisions will be released or if we will be expected to do any interviews? I'm just getting so antsy! Good luck everyone!
  23. Thanks y'all for the input, I greatly appreciate it. I'm a great student, just had a rough transition into college due to family circumstances. That first year can really mess your future up, unfortunately. Well, here's to the future and hoping for the best!
  24. Hey, I'm wondering if anybody on here can give me some statistics, information, tips, etc. for gaining admission to the UAB AMNP program. I am entering my senior year at the University of the South with a 3.1 GPA, which, from what I've read in other forums, might really thwart my attempts in getting into this program...does anyone have any further information regarding this? Disregarding the iffy GPA, I have a fair amount going for me, or at least I think so. I acquired my EMT-IV license during my freshman year and was accepted onto the University's volunteer service, which I will serve on until graduation. This has also allowed me to join the fire department and work Bonnaroo over the summers. I have also done medical work in Haiti. Do these extracurriculars improve my chances of acceptance? I guess what I'm really asking is, does UAB look at applicants in a holistic manner? I would be so grateful if anyone can provide me some information regarding this program. Thank you!
