I work in a Urology Clinic and our patients that have a chronic in dwelling catheter come in every 4-6 weeks to have it changed. Beyond that, things get very nasty and they almost always test positive for UTI.

Hey! I haven't been on here in awhile. I graduated from the LVN program August 2016 and now I am starting the LVN to RN bridge program in January. My LVN classmates who are currently in the RN program have all said the LVN program was MUCH harder. I believe it is because of the pace. The LVN program was always a year and a half, then they condensed it to a 1 year program. We started with over 40 students and lost almost half of our class the first semester. You also attend durring summer, whereas the ADN program has summers off. Hope this helps.

There are so many comments on different threads about how good grades in all your prereqs doesn't equal success in nursing school. It's all about critical thinking and choosing best answer when there may be several "right" answers. I work in a Dr.'s office and was just telling the nurses how disappointed I am in myself for not retaining a lot of the info I learned in some of my science prereqs. They assured me it's not a big deal and you learn majority on the job. I'd experiment with different styles of studying too. I'm visual and it helps me to draw pictures of concepts that I have trouble with, like the genetic stuff ��

Ok I just got off the phone with them and yes apparently we are going to be ranked even though we turned in our application last year. The good news is that they are still going by date turned in. He said that they will admit around 70 and I am in the first 30 so I do not need to worry. Sadie since you turned yours in a couple months before me then you are for sure fine as well. Its still got me so paranoid.

For the LVN program you just apply once and they place you in the first available program. I applied June 2014 and was accepted into Fall 2015 program, so there was a 2 semester wait list at that time.

Ok I just saw what you were referring too on the ACC website. I was told that people accepted into program prior to start of fa semester were exempt from any changes to curriculum so hopefully that's correct.

Hi brandiew7678, yes I was on the Temple thread í ½í¸Š. I'm so confused right now ladies, they told me I was "accepted into program" for fall 2015. Now you have me worried, I'm calling tomorrow. I just saw this post tonight bc I decided to log in, I don't get notifications? Anyhow I started a FB group called ACC LVN Fall 2015 if y'all wanna talk that way? At least then we'd get notifications. Either way I'll let you know what they say tomorrow.

Ks mommy nurse, Our school is extremely competitive and wait list is even longer for RN but yes I have 2 more prereqs and I'll be able to bridge to RN after LVN program. They also offer a mobility program for LVN to RN. I've done the math and this is the most time efficient route for me :-)

I'm doing the LVN to RN route because I'm in the same boat. I did the math and it would take me LONGER to do the RN only route because there is a 2 year wait list to get in AND I needed a couple more prereqs. I work full time and have a toddler so it would have taken me almost a year more just to do additional prereqs. I'm happy with my decision, I start my program in August BUT may get to start in Jan if someone defers. . . Also my CC has a mobility option for LVN to RN and it's only 3 semesters and you go during summer. I will prob end up spending about 10000 for everything once I'm done and by 2017 our CC may be offering a BSN option :-)

Hello! I know this is 2 years old but I have been accepted into ACCs lvn program starting August 2015. They told me I could start in Jan if someone forfeits their spot. Do you know the odds of that happening? Did anyone in your class get to start early? Also, any advice? Did you work during the program? Thanks in advance :-)
