  1. I applied to CSU Fresno back in March and was put on the Alternate List as of May 10. Here I am 3 months later, still waiting and just biding my time with getting a new car (yay!) and now working at Five Guys and my parent's business to make those payments. I finished my third year of school with a 3.62 GPA for Pre-Nursing GE reqs, and 3.76 cumulative GPA. My TEAS score was an 80%, which is decent, I hear. Lucky for me, however, I apparently applied during the semester with the second highest GPA average they've had. Bummer. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out other places to get my BSN, since I know it's really expensive to go from LVN or CNA to ASN in nursing to BSN.... and most hospitals don't consider applicants without a BSN anyway. Anyone else in my situation? Any advice? I'm really stressed out from this wait and just need something to keep my flame going for this profession.
  2. Hey there! I'm new to the site and have lots of questions... But for starters I would just like to ask for some insight from anyone who has gone through the pre-nursing major and what to expect. Also I would like to know just how many classes are recommended for the first semester, and how to balance my tougher science classes with my G.E. ones. If anyone can share any advice at all on this or even some tips on what to do/expect the first year, let me know. Oh and another thing, should i be looking into what professor to put on my class wishlist by ratemyprofessor.com? Thanks!
