  1. Hey Ramiro, Yeah, I'm already doing RT..but I was just curious about this.. Thanks for the info anyway Nev
  2. Hi all, Ok I agree that this is a wierd question but I was wondering if there was any possibilty that a person can become an NP without a BSN. I thought about this question because I read about colleges offering dual degrees in NP with a PA certification. Thanks Nev
  3. Looks like there are a lot of NP programs in the US..... Is there a surplus of NPs? How easy is it for new grads to find jobs? Thanks nev
  4. Thanks for the advice.....were you talking about my chances into getting into UT Tyler?
  5. I see...well, its worth a try anyway
  6. I guess there is no one from UT Tyler in this forum....
  7. Hi Foxyhill....are u in UT Tyler?
  8. the thing I'm also worried about is that by the time I apply, I wont be able to get the 5 points for completing all nursing pre-reqs , the 3 points for completing all the core requisties and the 2 points for my associate degree and two points for something else I dont remember but it was based on completing all the prerequsites...thats a grand total of 12 points at loss! Is there any hope?
  9. Hi everyone....yes apparently I am really freaking out now. I'm in Tyler and I'm applying for the BSN program @ UT Tyler branch. I'll be applying for fall 06 where they require the applications to be submitted by march 1. The problem is , when I file my application, I'll be short fo a&p2 and human growth and development for teh nursing pre-reqs and I'll be short of BCIS, Statistics and govt 2 for the core requisites. THe advisor told me that this is how a lot of the students apply (with a few subjects not complete)....I'll be done with my pre-reqs when I enter but the sad thing is I really feel that I wont get accepted for fall 06. I've got a 3.93 GPA and that could be my only stronghold (and ofcourse doing awesome on the NET)....Any suggestions...Anyone from UT Tyler? Thanks Nev
  10. Hi, I was wondering if someone could give me the names for the programs with the fastest, and cheapest (and ofcourse accredited) RN- BSN program..... Thanks Nev
  11. Then what about the new ENPs (Emergency nurse practitioners)? Do they earn the same or more than the PAs in the ER? Thanks Nev
  12. Ok...I'm not trying to stir an argument here wih my question...so here goes: Generally, are NPs paid more than PAs? Thanks Nev
  13. nev replied to nev's topic in Pre-Nursing Students
Thanks .....I just hope its not fast paced like the ACT
  14. I'm done with general chem 1 and 2. I was planning to go to organcic chem (for med school) ...but I'm doing it later.
  15. Hi, Does anyone know any sort of website which offers free NET practice tests? Thanks Nev
  16. nev replied to nev's topic in General Nursing
so its not very common to see 4.0s in BSN school ,eh? In that case, working really hard isnt going to help make a 4.0....or will it?
  17. nev replied to nev's topic in General Nursing
so is it possible for BSN students to make 4.0 GPAs like students majoring in Biological sciences?
  18. nev replied to nev's topic in General Nursing
well...I'm already done with the science pre-requisites for med school (except for o-chem)....if i could get that over with, everything should be ok
  19. nev replied to nev's topic in General Nursing
NO WAY! I definitely know that a BSN is really hard....I just wanted to know if it is easier compared to a BS in Biology or Chemistry.
  20. nev replied to nev's topic in General Nursing
I would prefer a BSN over a BS in chemistry or biology because I think it is better to get some degree in a health science course like a BSN before applying to med school. Well...thats just me. I hope a BSN is not harder than a BS in Biology...I know that a BS in Chemistry is really really hard. I just hope my decision is a good one!
  21. for a bachelor's degree...I prefer nursing over other sciences.
  22. Thanks stn2003....When I enter BSN school, all what I'll be needing for med school will be organic chem. I hope BSN is not too hard because Organic is already hard enough!
  23. nev replied to nev's topic in General Nursing
Is a B.S in Chemistry or Biology better for med. school than a BSN?
  24. any suggestions?
