I went out to lunch by the water and then I went swimming. I was tempted to study, but opted out and had a pedicure instead :) My exam was at 2 PM the next day, so I also got to sleep in. I ended up passing in 75 questions! My advice to those about to take the NCLEX is to not study the day before. You probably won't retain a lot of new information and you definitely deserve a relaxing break. It is still nerve-racking to sit in the Pearson testing center waiting for them to call your name and begin the test...but once the test started I found that it was over quicker than I expected and that it was not completely dreadful. You can do it!!!

Hi! I was wondering if someone could give me a list of potential landmarks that could be "hot spot" questions. For example: A diagram is given of the sternum and ribs and we have to identify Erb's Point. Can you all think of any others? I was thinking Aortic, Pulmonic, Tricuspid and Mitral points, Point of Maximal Impulse, Mc. Burney's Point, and maybe to locate the Fundus on a woman who just gave birth? I'm having trouble thinking of others, and I know there must be so many more! Thank you.

Hi everyone! I am a new grad about to take my NCLEX. I was lucky to be offered a job in Oncology (Adult). Do you seasoned RNs have any advice? Is there anything that I should study up on or know particularly well? I am really excited to start. Thank you

I graduated from the BSN program at LC For Medical/Surgical clinicals we were primarily in Lynchburg for Psych/Mental Health, Peds, and Community Health we were also n Lynchburg (although I know a few people who had to travel to neighboring counties a couple of times for Community health). Second semester of senior year you can either be placed in Lynchburg for practicum or you could be placed at UVA, Martha Jefferson, Centra Southside (Farmville), or Carillion in Roanoke to name a few sites... However, you fill out a preference form and I think it accommodates nearly everybody. I liked the program at LC it prepared me well.
