I am sooooooo sorry twentyonepilots! I really thought you had a great chance getting in! What about trying for UF since your more north? I know where ever you do go you will be an awesome student!!

On the Intent to Enroll form it says what ever address you put there is how they will base your clinical site, so I would get your living situation established now. I didn't see anywhere to pay for the nursing orientation, but it seems they are going to charge for everything!!! lol

Oh no I am soo sorry!! You got accepted to a different program though didn't you USFGIRL? Well there is always a reason for everything! I wish you the best in whatever you do!!!!

I just checked the info and it looks like if this is your first time at usf then you have to do orientation. It suggests either the 26th of june or 17th of july in order to be ready to register for classes. I think I might try to do the 26th. Anyone else know the date they want to go? Maybe we can meet up?

I've been psyching myself out that I wouldn't get word until next friday at the earliest so that I don't get upset if its not before then. I've also just been telling myself that it will be a rejection so I can't be too let down if it is...ugh I hate this!

since we are both north of tampa maybe we will get placed in the same clinical group! I would be up for car pooling if you ever wanted (I'm not going to say "if" we get in because I am bein optimistic)

I live with my husband and our daughter up here in Trinity since he also is a full time student at a satellite campus close to our house. I will just make the commute to usf if I get in.

I have been to the info session back in March, and they food not mention looking into the applicants any further than the essay and the transcripts. I am not sure if they would even be able to do something like that. I would suggest really highlighting what you want them to know about you in the essay since that is how you can stand out :)

1 week down!! I am getting more and more anxious to get that email! :) I really hope my essay is great but the longer I sit here and think about it the more I question myself Ugh I just want to know!!

off topic, but great weather we are having huh?? jeez we aren't even a week into hurricane season!

When I went to the pre-application information session, the admissions adviser said they get anywhere from 700-900 applications for the program, and I am pretty sure most people wait until that last week to submit so I bet they are just swamped with submissions! I am sure everything is OK :)

So I missed a few topics here since I haven't logged on for a few days! I had every intention of applying to the ADN program where I got my AA degree, but the deadline was the 30th and I was too wrapped up in applying to USF to study for a TEAS test! So I am really hoping I get in to USF otherwise I will be left with nothing! As far as orientation, I received a notice about the dates for it that also had a disclaimer stating if you got into the BSN program you were NOT required to do regular orientation.... but if I get in I am going to make sure that is correct. Also, as far as how soon I got the changed to committee status, I applied to the program on the 23rd, and received the email thanking me for applying then the next day I got 2 saying i met the requirements and it had been switched to committee. I get the emails on my phone so every time I get a notice of an incoming email my heart drops! I can't wait to find out!!

So I totally don't mean to just add myself into the conversation, but I've been watching this thread for a bit now and have also applied to the program for Fall 2013, so I signed up for this site and wanted to share in the excitment. I've just completed my 6 straight semesters of my AA degree with a 3.95 GPA and am taking that much needed break for summer....all except I can't relax waiting on this application!!! That essay had me questioning everything for the whole month of May, now June will be chewing off all of my nails! lol Well I hope you all get in and we can all meet during orientation :)
