  1. If you take it at OCCC, take ******.
  2. Oh man, that is crazy!!! And disheartening because I am about to turn my application for the CLP-RN there.....I will be very careful to check my points with them. If you don't mind me asking, what section of the preference points did they miss? Also, congrats!!
  3. Okay, I am so confused. How did you not get accepted and you had 17points and a 2.9, but AV2013 got in with the same amount of preference points and a lower g.p.a.?? Something seems wonky about that.
  4. Ehhhh....it is okay. I am so glad that you are doing well at Platt!! Congrats on being at the top of your class :-) I think you made a great decision!
  5. Thank you for the luck. That is awesome that you got to start your program! When do you graduate? Do you like it? Best of luck to you, too!
  6. Nope, I am in the day PN class :-)
  7. I have been meaning to leave a comment, but I have been so busy. I am currently a student in the PN program at Metro-Tech. I got in with 56 points. It was very competitive. Everyone in my class except for one, has all their college science courses including chemistry. A few have even already completed microbiology.

Yes, you need the critical thinking test!! Everyone in my class except for one, has all their college science courses including Chemistry. A few have even already completed microbiology. Do not shortchange yourself, you must take that critical thinking test
  9. I just went to the last informational session, April 9th, and for the CLP (LPN-RN), the director said it takes 3 semesters to complete the program. Fall will be the transition course, Spring will be nursing process III, and Fall(15) will be nursing process IV. You would graduate in December 2015. Now, I wrote down that she said 63 students will be accepted, but I can't believe it is an odd number like that, but I have 63 wrote down, and of those 63 slots, 21 are reserved for the 1+1 students, so in reality 42 people will be accepted, unless some 1+1 students change their mind and give up their slot. She said approximately 90-100 applied....so there was no guarantee of all LPNs getting in as was promised before. They are selecting by 1) preference points and 2) G.P.A.. She told us if you need to have at least 15 preference points to be in good shape.
