  1. Congrats!!!!
  2. They said I can just have them redraw the titers in August! Thank goodness! So, just sent in that I confirm my spot. Looking forward to meeting everyone at orientation!
  3. Is anyone having the same problem with immunizations as me? I emailed them asking what I should do, but haven't heard back. I don't want it to cost me my spot.
  4. I was accepted to North! I am worried about my titers though. The doctor had to restart me on Hep B because a new one came out or something. She said i won't get the 2nd round until November....but that they could always redraw the titers to check my immunity??? I am going to ask the school, but hopefully that works.
  5. The application says *Biology courses must be taken within the last five (5) years with no grade less than a "C". (Example: if you are applying for Fall 2018, your BIOL 2301/ 2101, BIOL 2302/2102, BIOL 2320/2120 cannot have been taken any earlier than Fall 2013). The wording is confusing. I would also think you would have been good. That makes it sound like anything taken during Spring 2013 or later is considered expired.
  6. Congratulations to everyone who has heard back so far!
  7. Just spoke to North, they are hoping to send out emails before or during the last week of May! Central is the only one sending things out right now.
  8. I applied to North and I had a 20-21 rubric score, maybe only central people are hearing back today...Trying not to freak out!!!!
  9. Everyone who has gotten an acceptance email so far, was it for North or Central???
  10. Ah! That is crazy. I hope we all hear back!
  11. To North? Or you mean in general?
  12. I applied to North, I wonder how many applicants they got. I am so nervous!
  13. Alvin Community College?
  14. I am so anxious to know if I got in or not. 30 work days from the deadline is June 1st. Hopefully, we hear back before then.
  15. I just called and asked! They said it's an error by Castle Branch that they should have fixed by now, but the school is aware of it and it won't mess us up! Maybe it only affects people applying for North campus?
  16. I just noticed that my Castbranch says Fall 2017. Anyone else's also say that? I used NP75DTIM, the code on the admissions sheet from the website.
  17. I have to repeat the series for Hep B, and I believe it says on one of the packets, that as long as you finish the repeat series by the start of clinicals it is ok, but it is good you emailed them so they know.
  18. No, I don't believe so. Other's like HCC make you submit proof you attended if it is.
  19. At the info session, they said 100 get accepted to Central and about 40 to North.
  20. Submitted my application for North on Monday! Everything on Castle Branch is in, so now all I can do is pray and hope we all get the results we need!
  21. On the application itself it says, "Must be typed, printed and signed" and "No handwritten applications are accepted"
  22. I emailed and asked about that, but they said they would only take American Heart Association BLS, and it would all have to be in person.
  23. My stats: A&P 1: B ENGL: CLEP (so i dont know how many points that gets me) MICRO: A A&P 2: A Hesi: 94 GPA: 3.0 (i think, i have multiple schools/gpa) I also am still waiting on Hep B/C labs to come in and am worried they wont by the deadline. I am applying to north campus
  24. I am also applying, I sent my application in through ApplyTexas on March 6th as a transfer student but have not heard anything back. I haven't called yet since the offices are closed for Spring Break. I have all my prereqs done but still need to take the Teas. Have you already taken it?
  25. I was looking for advice or I guess some hope about trying to become a nurse again. I was accepted into a program three years ago but failed the first semester. Due to a combination of the school itself not setting me up for success, my own depression at the time and lack of support system, I thought that I wasn't cut out for nursing after all. So I gave up. I got a Bachelors degree in another field, and told myself it was better that way. But I still can't stop thinking about nursing. I have time to try and apply to LVN or RN programs for the fall, but if I wait for the spring I can apply to schools with an accelerated second degree BSN program. However, I'm worried that I won't get into any because of the fact I failed out of nursing school. Admissions is always very competitive, but I feel like that is especially true about schools in the Houston area where I am located.
