Does your school not provide any of these things? Mine included scrubs, gait belt and stethescope. The shoes required were white or black with NO canvas and slip resistant. The nursing stores around here didn't have many options so I found some Reboks at JCPenny that are SO comfy! Good luck and have fun! :)

But this makes it difficult for us new CNA's (who DO know how to do vs and everything else AND who don't care about the pay, like me, to be able to work and do what they want to do- HELP) who don't have working experience to be able to GET any working experience.

First of all, congratulations on the birth of your daughter! She's beautiful! All of your kids are :) The birth video was sweet and to hear her cry.... awwww!!!! Second, it sounds like the Dr went on the defensive probably because he was too lazy to take the time to birth your other two correctly. Is there a HR dept or lawyer to can talk to about this? Don't let him push you around for this because from what I can tell you didn't do anything wrong.

I now understand how lazy and negligent CNA's get passed, at least with this examiner we had. Thrilled that I passed but disappointed in the examiner and my instructor, for that matter, because she is aware of it. Does anyone know if examiners have to pass a certain percentage or have a 'quota' of people they pass/fail? I would really love to hear how other Skills testings were done if you care to share. Ie: if skills were on a resident, fellow classmate or manequin, if other students were in the same room as you while doing the skills, if skill was peri care on a classmate how that was done, etc.

I'm wondering if the student has the state required minimum classroom hours for each certification and how do they get their clinicals for each subject needing clinicals and do they take the State tests to become a Pharmacy Tech, HHA, CNA, MA, Billing/Coding, and for all the other courses that are in the AOS plan and then they are certified for all of the above? Do the students do online State testing?

Are we supposed to hold back the tears? I would think the family would appreciate knowing how much you cared for their loved one. I'm new to this so I don't know this answer....
