Every other weekend & holidays??
It's not wrong to want to work weekdays and no weekends I would love to have a job like that but currently I am putting my time in working all shifts, weekends and holidays. I have kids to support they are my priority not nursing. Even though I love to help people, I have to help my offspring first. Some of the comments are inconsiderate. Clinic jobs are nice M-F jobs.

Can I refer to myself as RN or the school nurse
Yes Ive worked extremely hard for this degree and to just be called an assistant I feel bad and yes I feel like I'm being deceptive when others ask me if I'm a nurse. Thank you all for your input I will continue to look for a job where my position is RN.

Can I refer to myself as RN or the school nurse
The NA position requires the applicant to take a 6 week course at the local community college or be a LPN or RN. It was and still is a bit confusing to me. So if something was to ever go down I'm the RN in the assistant role and I hope I wouldn't be responsible for whatever went wrong. What you all think? Do you agree? Or should I run?

Yes the requirements for nursing assistants is either take a 6 week course, be a LPN or RN. I thought it was weird to have an associates degree RN be a assistant but that is the way it is working in the school district

Hi all, I am a RN with an ADN degree and accepted a position as a nursing assistant because a school nurse has to have at least a bachelors. So my question and concern is can I refer to myself as nurse so and so or the nurse?

nursing clinicals and glorified cna work
Im in clinical rotation and it seems like all I do is glorified cna work...I dont pay thousands of dollars for school to do cna work (Ive been a cna for over 6 years now) ...I want to learn core nursing skills so my question to you all is,is all clinicial rotations like this? The nurses I work with dont do cna work so why are we the students expected to do the cna work? Cant all the ADL's be delegated to the cna? (sorry if i sound negative but I really want to know the answer so I know what to expect. Thanks
