  1. I sat for my boards for the third time on August 21st. The first two times i was so nervous i couldn't even function. This time I went in with a completely different mind set. I stayed all night in the town I was testing in. I didn't touch anything the night before actually i hadn't touched anything since the wednesday before because i got in a bad car accident last thursday. Everyone said I should reschedule, but i was determined to take it and pass. I got to the testing center 30 minutes early and was actually seated at my computer 15 minutes before my scheduled test. I was hoping to shut off at 75, but it kept going, i took lots of breaks, and i kept track of my high level questions. . . i had 40 SATA, 7 drag and drop, 7 pictures, 7 exhibits, 4 EKG strips, and 2 math. My computer kept going 76, 100, 150, 200, i knew i was getting 265, and i did! i left numb and sick, i sat in my car and cried. The first time i failed with 265 third time i passed with 265. I wasn't sure if i wanted to try pearson vue this time, but i did and i got the nice little message. Within 2 1/2 hours after leaving the testing site i had already received a message from my state board with my license number! i have never, out of all my friends, heard of anyone getting their results so quickly! I had done it all when it came to review. AllNurses website was my best friend. I googled study guides, drug study guides, EKG strips, you name it. I used YouTube, Kaplan classroom, NCSBN, Hurst, Exam Cram, Saunders, PDA. . . I think it all came down to me focusing, taking my time, and realizing this is just a test, it doesn't determine what kind of nurse you will be! good luck everyone! it'll happen for you!
  2. I took mine on the 21st also. I had all 265 questions, it was my third time testing. I went in less anxious and nervous than the previous times. I walked out feeling numb and sick. I knew i had failed AGAIN. I drove the hour home and talked myself into doing pearson vue trick. I closed my eyes so tight as i hit that next button to get the grey screen that said our records indicate. ONE hour later my license number was ACTIVE on my state boards website!!! congratulations to you!

  4. thats exactly how i feel. everyone says "you will be fine" . . . these people have never set for this test before and of course they aren't going to tell me oh you aren't going to get it. good luck everyone I test on the 21st for the THIRD time. i had been getting 2 out of 10 SATA right last night i got five out of ten right, making progress!
  5. i heard we aren't allowed to write anything on the white board anymore that doesn't pertain to the question we are on. is this not true?
  6. Thank you for this post. The school i attended was a new RN program. My class was the second graduating class. It took a couple of my friends 3 times to pass this NCLEX and this is actually my third time. I am a horrible test taker and I have such bad anxiety. I am doing Kaplan. I'm working on the content videos currently and i have QT 7 left to do. I feel like my qbank and qt scores are all over the place some being in the 60's some in the 50's and one at like 48%, i'm so nervous to test AGAIN!
  7. If you are having a million SATA thats a fabulous thing, you don't get those application/analysis questions unless you are above the passing level, because those are passing level questions!! I'm scared to death of SATA
  8. these score are pretty much identical to mine, i test on july 31st and i'm nervous that my scores are too low! but i'm glad you wrote this post and i see the feedback that maybe they aren't too low :-) good luck!
  9. ME TOO! i graduated in 2011 also! i'm hoping third time is the charm for me! good luck, i'm planning to take mine July 31st! I'm still just as nervous as all the times before, more confident, but still feel like i know nothing at times!
  10. It doesn't matter what number you stopped at!! the number means you were either at minimum competency to practice or you weren't going to make it to minimum competency. A person can pass at 75 or fail, pass or fail anywhere in between and at 265, my first time i had 265 questions and i failed, the second time i had 126 and failed!! Believe in yourself. . . do the pearson vue so you can stop stressing. If you passed congrats, if you failed pick yourself up and start studying again because you have 45 days!! :-) remember some of the best nurses don't pass on the first time, but it would be great if we could! I take mine at the end of July for the THIRD time and i am a nervous wreck and its not even test day yet.
  11. Tweety1023 how could you tell when you were getting questions right and wrong
  12. BizyRN as soon as I get my ATT ill schedule shooting for before August 1
  13. My scores are nearly identical this and I'm freaking out
  14. shows how much i pay attention! thank you! I'm getting high 60's in the PDA book and I'm all over with Kaplan mostly 60's and 70's on the qbank, but occasionally a high 40 or 50. i've failed twice prior.
  15. I didn't even know there were sample tests, i need to do that sata one, i suck at those, where is this located?
