  1. These are my last 3. Unfortunately they are all 15 week classes. I have taken 2 at once but never 2 nursing since they are too labor intensive in 5 weeks. I started Fall of 2012 and will finish this Spring semester. Wish I would have doubled up a 15 week with a nursing class but oh well what do they say about hindsight? lol
  2. Thank you for the insight! I am taking three classes at once. Yipes! Since they are all non-nursing, they cannot be as bad as taking 2 5 week nursing classes at the same time. I am ready to let it drag on since I don't have much energy left at this point.
  3. I am taking my last three courses to graduate in the Spring. Who is taking Ethics and are there any veterans of this course that can offer any advice?
  4. I am in as well. It's Weds. and all that I have accomplished is my DB. No urgency or motivation whatsoever. May just spend Saturday morning with a Bloody Mary and the week 1 ICP project to complete. I am so done!
  5. I rented off of chegg.com for 54.00 with access codes. Book arrived but no codes yet. Might have to return and buy. We will see.
  6. I am having trouble just locating what textbook is needed. Can you share the title or ISBN? It would be much appreciated. I am taking this fall also with health and assessment. Hope I can do it.
  7. Thank you woodsyny for the PM. I appreciate your advice. Wish I had some wisdom to share with you.
  8. Thanks for the information! I will look into it. Since I have to take Business communications in Jan. I would like to take something that is not on a rigorous timeline.
  9. I am a diploma grad. and being asked to take this prerequisite. I took 12 weeks of OB which covered newborn growth and development and PEDS for 12 weeks which covered infant to 16 years. My nursing school has since closed and I am unable to get a course curriculum. Anyone else have to repeat this? Any ideas on how not to repeat this?
  10. I would also appreciate a heads up on which professor to choose. Not taking until Spring but will be one of my last classes and need to double up suring that semester to finish.
  11. I am with you healthlink97. I am going all over the place with this one. I can't seem to come up with a comprehensive theme.
  12. I am taking Gerontolgy summer session too. Join the blog. There wasn't too much activity in the other class I took this summer.
  13. I started 1 year ago in August. Only have 3 more nursing classes to go! I just purchased PERRLA since I have had the same tough T.A. 3 classes in a row. My content is A, my APA always gets points taken out. I tended to submit before carefully reviewing my citations which takes more time than writing the paper. So my advice is ... get APA down pat from the get go. I agree with cincinursemary. Stay ahead of the game. Don't submit early since I have had classes where they changed the rubric midweek and had to redo assignments. Good Luck with your classes!
  14. d2bsn, Yes...cancel all your appointments and be prepared to spend a lot of time doing homework. It is a lot of material to cover in 5 weeks. Start your homework on Sunday and read as you go along. Hopefully you will have a good T.A. Good luck! Once you finish that class you can take a sigh of relief. Also set up your proctored exam early. I suggest taking your tests on Friday. Gives you time to complete homework, take the test and identify areas you need to study for the exam.
  15. Done, Done and DONE!!! :***:I never have to talk about this family again! Anyone taking Gerontological nursing next?
