  1. Your application will be held until you're deemed "fit to work"...
  2. ...Sorry for the late reply pinkandgray, Yes I think they're still accepting applicants, though I'm not sure. ^^ Better call their office. =) Goodluck and May God Bless us All. ^^
  3. Please do backreading. I have shared almost all of my experiences here. LOL
  4. For COPN trainees, the ward assignment is randomly selected. After the COPN training, you will be asked about your top3 preferred specialized areas, from this they will base your ward assignment once you're a probee (e.g. You want to be in the PICU, they will assign you in the pedia ward). As for the staff, they are all kind, but you'll notice that the atmosphere of each nurse station is very different from other nurse stations.
  5. Sorry... XD I suggest you call the HR about that.
  6. That I'm not sure...
  7. Yes, I know all of my batchmates, but no, please don't drop her name. We all protect our identities here.
  8. Community Tax Receipt I believe, is the cedula. PTR (prof. tax receipt) is paid by professionals annually (I paid mine in our city hall). Beware, it can be pricey, because we should have paid one by the time we got our license, and there's penalty when you haven't (I don't know why I'm not informed of that, I don't even know what a PTR is if it wasn't a requirement of MMC ). Regarding the dental, you have to get it done before the training. The dentist told me that I need it to get the dental clearance in order to move on with my application. Good luck and May God Bless us All! ^^
  9. We were contacted 1week after the end of our training. ^^ Yes, positive thinking is key, keep at it! The absorption rate is good because all of the trainees were absorbed from the batch before us.
  10. Hi everyone! I would just like to share with you that 17 out of the 20 COPN trainees were accepted (including me ) in my batch!!! It was our contract signing for Probationary Staff Nurses this morning, it will last for 6months and we will start on Jul31! Thanks be to the Lord for guiding and helping me and to you guys, who helped me prepare for the otherwise unexpected things in my application and training. YOU WERE A HUGE HELP! I also shared this to encourage my fellow RNs out there. Despite of this "Dark Age of Nursing" in the Philippines, there's still hope. May God Bless us All!
  11. That I'm not sure. I hear they're already processing the next batch of applicants. St. Luke's offers PGNT for 10K, there's a chance to be absorbed. I don't know about the others. I think almost all hospitals get their staff nurses from their trainees/RNheals. Goodluck and May God Bless us All!
  12. ...I agree with episiotomy about the attitude. They believe that skills and knowledge can be taught in the floors, but the right attitude has to come from the trainee. It was our last day and at the same time graduation day last June 12, 2013. I hope and pray that we get absorbed too.
  13. Hi! What they told us was, absorption will be based on performance. The training also serves as an evaluation. Once absorbed, we will be hired as Probationary Staff Nurses for 6months. That also serves as an evaluation, if performance was satisfactory, then we will be hired as Regular Staff Nurses. Our trainer told us that all of the trainees were absorbed in the last batch, but that doesn't mean that all of us will be absorbed too. We really have to give our best.
  14. Sorry for the late update everyone, we started last monday and I was really stressed because my allowance for travel time is 3hrs, so I didn't have the time for sitting on the computer. Mon-Thurs was classroom lecture about hospital policies, background, culture, what to expect, basic skills, admission and discharge, charting, customer service, etc. Friday was immersion to our designated areas.
  15. ...And the fastest? Because in national bookstore, I have to wait for a week before I can claim it. Does anyone know of a place where I can get it the same day? Thanks again!
