  1. I registered for the background check and I'm getting confused with the due dates of things. When I made a profile, under the "Clinical Requirements CB24: Nursing Pre-licensure Fall 2013" category, there is the list of shots and other health documents needed to complete. Along with the list are different due dates. My question is about the email about our background check. Its says all health forms and lab/tests results are due July 12 but when I check online on the certifiedbackground.com account says various dates from Aug, Sept, etc. Does anyone else have this confusion?
  2. I was reading on the required items we will need to purchase at orientation like nurse patches and scrubs. How many of those things do we think we need?
  3. Did anyone get several emails about background checks, orientation and health documents? I got them for the past few days and it seems so much to take in all of what needs to be done. Anyone else feel kinda stressed?
  4. I don't see the 2015 listed. Only '14, '13, '12 but those are all closed groups.
  5. I don't have an iphone so I can't do that whole tapping thing and pm.I also went on fb and tried typing in "CSUEB Nursing" and several possibilities popped up. Theres 1 under people called "Melissa Nursing" and several under groups.
  6. @EllTee2B: Hey I want to join the fb group. I don't know how to pm on this website but you like use to post our emails?
  7. @EllTee2B:Thank you very much! I'm excited to meet my fellow classmates. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer before school starts.
  8. Its official. I got an email confirming my acceptance into the Concord campus which I prefer since I live close to it. Now time to get the forms and paper work dealt with. Can't wait to meet you guys at orientation! Also was anyone doing a fb page for nursing school? We should have one up before school starts so we can be familiar with each other.
  9. Does anyone know if we only go to 1 orientation date which is the nursing orientation or do we also need to sign up for student orientation like everyone who attends CSUEB?
  10. I remember going to an advising secession in Concord when I was interested in applying and I remember the spoke person said that we can take our upper divisions along with our nursing courses. I was sure if the Concord campus offers any of those upper division courses. I think we might have to take those at Hayward. Any thoughts?
  11. @Lady0121: Do you know what we are suppose to do with the email cause it basically gave us all those links that we can already see when we go to the school's website.

  13. Hi everyone! I got accepted to CSUEB! I already sent my email that I would be going and I chose the Concord campus. High five to the Concord people.I hope by now everything falls through for now.
  14. @Calicera: That's a smart strategy to studying because you assess yourself to see where you need to improve. Before I took my TEAS, I just reviewed the book and then did the 2 online tests. I didn't reevaluate my weaknesses which screwed me over when I actually took the exam. I'm taking it over again so hopefully this new approach can help guide me better.
  15. @songiecookie: I heard the McGraw-Hill practice are really helpful. My brother used both the ATI online tests and the McGraw-Hill tests to help him study and he got a 89% on his actual TEAS exam. I waiting for my McGraw-Hill book to come in so I can get on studying. I'm going to be taking it a 3rd time so I'm hoping for the best with this 3rd try.
  16. I'm waiting for my McGraw-Hill book in the mail. I heard that book is very very helpful. The ATI paper tests were good. I practiced with both of them. I did better on the second practice test. I also did the online practice from the ATI website and I didn't do so hot in Reading and of course Science. I'm taking the TEAS for a 3rd time and I'm hopping I get the score I want. I want somewhere above 87%. As of now I'm reviewing the entire ATI book and doing further research on the sections where I feel totally lost in. I hope the McGraw-Hill assists me with my studying.
  17. @Vintageswagger: I got 68 points. I'm pretty far into the alternate list close by the 40s. I just checked Sac State's nursing home page and they already are up to alternate #16.
  18. Hello everyone, this is my 1st post. I got applied to Sac state for fall 2013 and I'm on waitlist. My GPA is a 3.93 and TEAS score was in the low 80s. :/ I was able to get 6 of the optional points though. I already agreed to my intent to enroll to the university and I plan to retake my TEAS so that I can apply for Spring 2014. I'm hoping for the best outcomes.
