Thoughts on my prep scores?
Thank you for encouraging me. I am testing tomorrow. So no more study today. I must admit that Kaplan and Uworld qbanks plus hurst helped me to improve my scores although I am not very thrill with my level of confidence. Keep you posted!!

Thoughts on my prep scores?
0 Good day to everyone in here, I have been studying on and off for the past few months as I have a full time job. Supposed to test in January, was not ready, scheduled for March and rescheduled for July 27th ( next Thursday coming) as had family issues. My scores as today kaplan Q trainers: q trainer 1: 64% Trainer 2: 67% Trainer 3: 57% Trainer 4: 60% u world : 63 % overrall uworld first assessment: very high chance of passing: 65% uworld second assessment: borderline 52%- this put me down.... I also know that I do not have to focus on the scores instead of rationales. I cannot reschedule it anymore and I do not have enough time left to improve my scores nor to study more. What are your thoughts?

Opinions on Kaplan NclexRN prep
Hello, I agree with you in everything you wrote. It does confuse in some of their questions, no doubt. Me personally, I did not enjoy Kaplan. Their strategy seems old as the questions are. I remember when I bought the self paced course in 2015 most of their videos were from 2008! And the questions as well. I know that nursing does not change, but you have to update and add new questions every year if you want to mantain the high price and the standard. I failed twice Nclex. Being an foreign educated nurse, graduated in 1996, was no easy at all. I used to work in east Europe and U.K., and when I moved down to USA I found nursing so different. I did say that nurses are doctors in here. My first attempt: I was studying only Saunders comprehensive review which is a very good book for the content. I did all their questions plus 3000 more from their Q and A review book. I failed with 153. Few months later I tried again, this time studying Kaplan self paced course, watched all the videos, plus q bank and La charity. Failed again with 265. I am doing well I said to myself:) At least I failed with 265:) trying to keep me motivated. This time I bought Uworld. Excellent resource!!! Their rationales are different and explained in a way that makes you understand without refer to any book or review. Kaplan might be good, but it did not work for me. Their rationales are short, they would not explain why is not a good answer. I did not find any similarities between Kaplan and the actual Nclex like I did in between UWorld and the nclex. Cut the long story short, I don't want to discourage you regarding Kaplan. I share with you my story and my opinion. Some of the students said here that Kaplan is good if you know the content, hm... I would say not only Kaplan. You have to know the content before you start answering questions from Q and A books, qbanks, etc. I wish you good luck and keep in touch in here. I am testing in January. Take care!

License verification for cgfns request for waiver
Hello, My licence was waived when I did the application for ces report in August. I assume that they check it online so no worries. If you hold a UK licence you don't need to send them anything. Good luck!

CES report- high school requirements
Thank you for your prompt response Silverdragon. I will definitely contact CGFNS. Just wandering how to fill the form. To leave it empty for the subjects I studied in high school? As they are half of that request form. I have a baccalaureate certificate, i am not worried about sending it over, but they ask for theoretical hours. Unfortunately I cannot attached images on this forum.

CES report- high school requirements
Hello I am a romanian nurse working in London. I will be in US next year as i hold a green card. I need a CES report as i want to work in Florida. As far as I know the board doesn't require secondary school transcripts. When I read the report, I have noticed they require too many subjects. I cannot even remember if I studied in high school...Have a look Art English Foreign language History Music PHILOSOPHY Religion Speech Anthropology Archaeology Economics Human geography Political science Sociology Chemistry Physics I had a look on my nursing school transcripts and I cannot find any subject. My high school transcripts will be very hard to obtain as i don't know if the school still exist after 20 years...and the school find them, does it is necessary for the high school to send to CGFSN some transcripts? I am lost, and i don't know where to start. i was going to fill up myself the courses i did in high school.. Anaeli

hEllo OMG, Can I ask you when did you graduate from school and how long did it take for cgfsn to process you paperwork? i graduated from carol Davila Bucuresti 15 years ago...I will start dealing with them this month for ces, as is quite useful in most of us states. I don't know if the school will be helpful sorting out my paperwork.

romanian registred nurse
Hello Judith, How have you been doing with your transcripts and nclex ? Have you registered with any of us boards? I am trying to get a licence for NY, but since they have changed their requirements, I don't know if I am able to obtain one as I graduated in 1999 in Bucharest. So at that time the programme was quite different than what they do now. i would like to keep in touch.

lacking education hours in pshychiatry and nutrition
Hello Cryssa, I am Anaeli and I wrote you on the romanian dv forum few years ago.. I have to do the same CES report like you did in 2009 and I was wondering if you studied at school( Carol Davila Bucharest) community nursing hours. I am asking as I graduated school in 1996 when these courses did not exist. I presumed it will be a huge problem. Also, did you have to do any other courses to a college? First of all, I wanted to go in California because they do not need a CES reportand I noticed that BON wants to have separated all the clinical hours( hospital and skills). I decided to come in Arizona , Florida or North Carolina. What do you suggest? Much appreciated.
