Hello everyone. I have not seen a thread for Los Angeles Valley College Spring 2016 applicants. I have recently been admitted and am trying to decide between LAVC and LA County. Any student past or present have any input on the program LAVC? And is anyone who is also admitted having a hard time making a decision on which school you want to attend?

Nataliekorn- congrats on getting into both programs. I know county also offers a tuition deferment program in which you pay $700 a semester and defer the rest until after graduation. And the perk is if you get hired at a county hospital then your tuition is forgiven. The only issue is I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a job at a county facility upon graduating. The nurses I work with all have really great things to say about LAC and most are encouraging me to pick county over lavc.

Phea0414 thanks for your response :). My heart is definitely set on county. However, Lavc there's a bog fee waiver so tuition will be much cheaper. But in retrospect county's program is about 10-12k, which isn't a lot. I don't know I am so lost. I need to go pick up my package from Lavc tomorrow if I decide to go there.

Hi everyone. I've also been accepted to LAC. I am a little torn, I also got into LAVC. I want to go to LAC but I think LAVC would be more convenient since I live in the San Fernando Valley. I hear really great things about the rn program at LAC and not much about LAVC. Can someone weigh in on this? Is it worth it for me to make the commute to LAC?

Hey Courtney- I don't think it is appropriate at all to discuss the questions and essay especially since many people still have not interviewed yet. However, I can tell you a little bit about the set-up. It was a group interviewed composed of about 6 candidates and we rotated through different rooms for 30 min interviews. I was on campus from 8am until 12pm. I had a good time and enjoyed meeting potential classmates. Good luck!

hello everyone congrats to those who got in!!! I am interested in apply to csudh this fall. I was wondering if I still have a chance if I got a C in microbiology but B's and A's in all my other prerequisites? Also, will I be able to apply if my bachelor's degree is still in progress? (I will have it completed by June 2014) Thanks :)
