Lucile Packard residency 2015/2016
Apparently the BRN is going to be delaying applications from late November through late January. I'm nervous I wont get my license in time even if I were hired. How long does it usually take to get your license from date of graduation?

UC Davis RN residency July/Oct 2015
Hi, I will be applying for the 2016 cohort. I was interested in how competitive it is? For the people that got interviewed and/or offered a position - did you have extensive medical field experience prior to nursing school? Bilingual? 4.0 GPA's? Extensive clinical volunteering? I am just anxious to feel out where I may stand in the applicant pool. Thanks!

What if?
I just finished my second semester of nursing school. Yay. But, I have to admit, even though I have great grades and have consistently been recognized as one of the top students in my classes, I am totally freaked out! It feels like you have to know SOOOO much patho and pharm that I doubt myself. What if I mistakenly overlook some lab value in the future and give a med I should have held? My classmates don't seem as daunted with the responsibilities of being a nurse, even ones that aren't doing as well in our classes. Is it normal to feel this way? Are you guys all constantly stressed the moment you step on the floor?

Does anyone know when we sign up for that ATI online testing thing? I know she talked about it at orientation but I haven't seen anything else about it.

At this point if I was accepted and chose Chico I would be out close to $700 because of the financial commitments I have already had to follow through with at CSULB. I'm shocked how late they give out their notices. Hopefully tomorrow?

Yes, I am planning on first getting my lactation consultant license after my RN and then want to get my nurse practitioner and specialize in ob/gyn! I also had a lot of people in my classes change course to PA or physical therapy... Those seem like good jobs too. As for MD, your life is your job. It's too much if you want to have a job that you can leave at the workplace. But, I do know some very happy radiologists, I don't think they are getting called up at 3am

What are peoples opinions on the trimester vs the semester option? Do you think the trimester will be way too much?

I called and asked about this. She just said get them done as soon as possible. Also, our contract stating our intent to enroll...Do we mail it or fax it if we don't live in the area?
