  1. PCT (Patient Care Tecnician) is 3 seperate skill-sets, CNA, EKG and Phlebotomy. In Illinois they hire them in doctors offices, hospitals and nursing homes. It just gives you a more rounded out background. You can also be Certified ny National Healcareer Association. The CNA part is certified by state testing and the Phlebotomy and EKG can be certified by NHA.

I work for a Private Business and Vocational School (PBVS) and we were recently approved to run an LPN program. Submitted everything I needed to to Illinois State Board of Education and was approved by them as well. The question I have, if you don't mind my asking (and I hope this is correct forum) is what was the cost, TOTAL, to become an LPN? Including books, fess, scrubs, tuition etc. Thanks in advance, Bob
  3. I am working at a tecnical school that offers BNAT training. I wanted additional information and had TONS of questions. Reading the responses helped a lot!!
  4. Not sure if this is right forum so please don't holler at me... :uhoh21: We are trying to start an LPN program and are trying to determine the right entrance testing procedure. So far the choices are: 1. ATI-Assesment Technologie ?? 2. HESI 3. NAT- Nurse Admission Test From what I heard, HESI may ask questions related to nursing and I don't see how this would be applicable to someone without a mmedical background. ANY comments, suggestions or experience would help. Also, if this belongs in another forum, I'm sorry. BobG
