  1. Aa1216--mine was sent then too and it took almost a week to arrive--look like it had been dropped in the gutter and run over with a car!! Wonder if something happened with the mail bag or something since it seems like a fair number were lost/delayed. Anyone know if we need scrubs for the first semester? I assume we start clinicals pretty quickly in such a short program.
  2. Still no access to canelink and IT wasn't very helpful....but I did get my acceptance packet today!!! Letter was dated Oct 25th. Now I have a decision to make! What do people know about housing, the neighborhood, etc? I am deciding between Loyola Chicago and Miami, and I have honestly never even visited Miami before so it would be a big change!
  3. I found out via mail, i think my application was complete around Sept 15. Letter was dated Sept 28th and I got it on Oct 1st. Remember though that the later you applied, the longer it will take to find out since they have more applications! Definitely not necessarily a bad sign that you haven't heard yet.
  4. Hmm...I am getting worried! Nothing in the mail yet but I do live in Illinois. I don't seem to have access to CaneLink though. I didn't know we could get access before we got in. Does everyone here have access/when were you granted access? I am very worried that they didn't review my application at all since they seem incredibly disorganized.
  5. Has anyone else heard anything? I haven't gotten an email or anything...
  6. Hey! I loved Loyola as an undergrad student--hence why I am going back! I really felt a good connection with all of my professors and it was a very hand-on, personal experience, plus Loyola had a TON to offer (study abroad, recreation, location, etc). I think the experience at the Maywood campus will be quite a bit different since we are so far away from the main campus, but I am hoping there will still be activities and groups to join! I am attending the Nov 12th info session so I am hoping to get answers about that. I just went out to Oak Park with my boyfriend this weekend to check out the neighborhoods and apartments. It seemed very fun and safe, and there are a surprising amount of good bars/cafes/restaurants/shops! I'm looking in the avenue shops area and the downtown area (near the green line) and I think I will be able to find a nice 1 bedroom or even 2 bed place for under $1200! There are a lot that are even cheaper (under $1000) but I have a dog and a car so that limits my options :) One tip I would suggest for when you start looking is don't live too far east in Oak Park--the next neighborbood east is Austin which is fairly sketchy and has much higher crime rates than Oak Park!
  7. Hi! I noticed there is no thread yet for Spring 2014 applicants for LUC's accelerated BSN program! Figured I could get the ball rolling and we can discuss applications/apartments/classes etc. A little about me--I graduated in 2012 from LUC with a degree in Advertising/PR. I did my pre-reqs at Oakton CC and Truman CC. undergrad GPA was 3.54, prereq GPA was about 3.75 or 3.8 I think! I got my application completed around Sept 15th and got my acceptance on Oct 1st! I also got in to DePaul and am waiting to hear from University of Miami, but most likely I will go with Loyola! Any other students lurking around here? Where is everyone planning to live too? I currently live in Lakeview but I believe we have to be in Maywood four days a week first semester. I am thinking about moving to downtown Oak Park before school starts up.
  8. Just got my WHNP/Midwifery interview invite!
  9. Do we know if everyone will find out today? Waiting on WHNP/Nurse-Midwifery :)
