  1. I was thinking to doing that, but nurses and my instructors discouraged me. They said managers don't like that and most places don't take "cold" applications any more, we have to go through HR. What was your experience vintagePN? (I understand it turned out well for you, but what was the general reaction from managers?)
  2. Thank you for your reply
  3. Ultrarunner, Do you know by any chance how long is the recruiting or hiring process in Sunnybrook? I had an interview a week ago and dying to find out the result. Do you think I should call the manager who I had the interview with? Thanks
  4. At this point I am not sure relocating would work. I have applied from Guelph to Collingwood even Thunder Bay, and I'd be willing to move and still nothing. Not one call! My resume has been checked by 3 different professional also. I don't get what is happening, and would have been nice to be prepared for this in school. We lead to believe that most of the students get hired by their consolidation places. Well that did happen for 1 person I know.
  5. Hey, I know this tread is up for a while, but I am asking anyway. Maybe some one can help me out. I am an RPN and had an interview a week ago in Sunnybrook Hospital. I felt the interview went well, and I was really hopeful to get the position, but as the days go by I am getting discouraged. How long is usually to recruiting process take in Sunnybrook Hospital? Should I follow up with the manager? I would appreciate any advise or idea!!! Thank you
  6. Well "sitting in the rainbow", the same thing happening to me a year later. I graduated in Dec, 2013, wrote the exam in Jan, 2014; just got my license like 2 weeks ago. I have been applying for jobs since Dec and I haven't got any calls, which is very discouraging!!! I really thought it is going to be much easier to find a job!!! It's so frustrating to hear all the time that "we need more nurses" and new grad nurses can't find jobs, because nobody is willing to hire them!!!!
  7. I have been applying since January to almost all postings for RPN positions. It is very discouraging that I haven't received any replies. I applied several of the HFO postings also, and nothing. I graduated with high honour in December. What could be the problem? Any ideas or advise?Canadianhungarian, which hospital are you working at? (I am canadian hungarian too, lol)
