........ TE=future_wonder_woman;7661283]Hey folks! Perspective Fall 2014 nursing student for Lone Star College System. I'm hoping to get as much "inside" information about the program as possible. Once I get in (God willing, it'll be in July of this year, FINALLY!) I'll only need 37 hours left since I have taken all of my pre/co reqs. I am wondering - does anyone know specifics of the degree plan? Are there things I can do to prepare BEFORE starting the program (books to read, etc) and just general information (not things that I can google) would be greatly appreciated!

I have been registered also but unfortunately did not get my first choice clinical site I wanted to go to St. Lukes but will be going to Kindred on hollow tree/park manor thursdays...this is fine too, I guess.. :/

for those of you that went to the north harris jul 29 rnsg1105 what did you guys do in lab today????? I wasn't able to go today I feel sooo bad but please let me know if I need to know anything so I can catch up. thanks!

i searched for it and nothing came up then i tried to make a group for north harris but i couldn't because i'd have to add at least one person to start a group but none of my friends belong in that group.. :/

wait so after how long after doing your fingerprint did you get ur blue card? i did my fingerprint just a few days ago..

finally scheduled my fingerprinting for this monday the 29th, my ssn verification done and drug testing scheduled done! it's starting to make a little more sense now. I don't know about you guys but that is all i am doing until orientation. it's starting to make a little more sense now :)

i emailed NH about the email we were supposed to be getting about the fingerprinting and they told me that they have not received anything from BON and when they do they will email us let us know.

for those of you that have taken pharmacology at north harris before, do we absolutely need a textbook for the class?

so as of right now we don't have to start the background/fingerprinting process? because i got the same email from north harris. i guess until we get that email the only things we can do are the social security verification. it also says in my email to wait to do everything else (besides the ss verification and the background check) until orientation because they will give out important information about that then.

which store is that?? where are we supposed to get the scrubs for north harris??

did anyone else receive an email from NH saying they have yet to email info about fingerprinting/background check?? She said to hold off on that until she sends an email which she will after she gets the info from BON.. so I'm waiting I guess...

I got a denial letter as well but i was accepted to North Harris for the nursing program. I'm just glad to be starting somewhere!

those of you that have accepted admission to NH are you taking pharmacology in summer at NH??

which orientation date did you say in your email that you will be attending??

lol me too!! as soon as i saw i said im accepting it i dont care..

i don't remeber exactly but it was like 10.98 or 10.89.. i had montgomery as my first choice and NH as my second but im just glad i got in somewhere now that i dont get in at montgomery!

I had a 10.89 and i got in at NH so there might still be a chance that you get accepted if somebody drops out.. :)
