Hi everybody, I have once previously applied for my endorsement into CA from OR via mail and was denied as they said that my maternity hours were not didactic (course and clinical simultaneously) which they were. It took me a year to get everything and I was so frustrated with how they treated people there that I cried and vowed to never want to work in CA ever lol. So here I am again planning on applying again as my boyfriend and I are moving there for his job. I am planning on going to Sacremento specifically to apply as I heard your chances are much better if you go in person. I studied at University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and I am wondering if there are any other U of M graduates that have received their CA license. Its so frustrating to hear everybodies issues with them are just like mine thanks everybody

Hi I have been travel nursing in the U.S. for 3 years now. I applied for my California RN license in the mail once and it was refused as they claimed my education did not meet the requirements that my program was not didactic (both course and clinic simultaneously), which It was. When I asked what the minimum requirements were, the woman I dealt with on the phone said "I cant tell you that! otherwise everyone would be meeting the minimum requirements) I was so angry I hung up and vowed to never want to work in California lol. However due to my boyfriends job, we will be moving and I will be attempting to do so again but in person in Sacremento. I was just wondering if any other University of Manitoba RN grads have been able to get their California license? Thanks!

I did an assignment with Travel Nurse Across America at Kapi'olani Womens in Honolulu. They also get contracts at Queens in Honolulu as well. I have been with TNAA for 3 years now and really like them. Good luck :)
