  1. It depends on when people drop...i have heard you can even get a call the day school starts for fall..
  2. Don't be scared...you've so much support and think about it, you will start VERY basic and work your way up. It's a lot but I never felt overwhelmed. As far as preparing, I would go over your anatomy and physiology because it will help with disease processes. You will touch on patho in the program and you will have a pharm class first and second semester. If you struggle with math, I'd go over med calculations because that will be something you will need to know. The math isn't complicated, don't worry! If you have free time, see if you can take a couple classes that will be needed for BSN/MSN programs. You will need sociology and psych/development psych too...I would go see an advisor though to make sure! I'd volunteer at a hospital or work maybe get your CNA license because that would help with just being familiar and comfortable in a hospital setting :) and most of all, enjoy the months before you start...it's def time consuming but totally worth it :)
  3. you will have no choice with teachers, but don't worry...they are all great and have different ways of teaching. Just take advantage of EVERY opportunity especially in the hospital and you will be happy you did. Your teachers are with you every step of the way :)
  4. You will love it. the first 4 weeks are referred to as 'boot camp' haha you have a lot of reading, tests, and learn a lot of skills needed for clinical. After that, you start in the hospital and it's a lot of fun. The teachers are great and all have experience in different areas of nursing. you will be amazed how much you learn in only 4 months!
  5. Don't remember exactly, was searching for the my letter but yeah by June.
  6. Haha snail mail
  7. I found out before the summer i think. I was around where you were on the standby list. Once everyone takes the TEAS and hands everything in, then they start sending out official letters. and they do call over the summer for fall openings if people drop.
  8. You will get a letter really soon that will prob say something like, you are # whatever on the wait list...(i think I ended up in the teens on the wait list after they checked all the apps) anyway, they will say that they want you to submit your score or take at CCSF. I took it there and it automatically was sent to them then.
  9. I got into spring but they do call as slots open up for fall...you might get lucky :)
  10. Hey there! I was in the 130s last year and got in...there are people in my class that were even farther down the list who got in too...as long as you do well on the TEAS and have all the minimum requirements to get into the program, then you most likely will get in! :) good luck!
