  1. USUALLY applications get forwarded to floors that are hiring based on your preceptorship. EX: if you precepted on telemetry and they're hiring, your app has a higher chance of getting forwarded as opposed to someone who didn't precept in telemetry. This is just a pattern I've seen but I also know of people who precepted on a certain unit and that unit was hiring, but they weren't given a chance to interview. There is no way to know if your app is forwarded though because no one will disclose that info. Recruitment won't know which units are hiring until 6wks before the start date so you guys probably won't hear back until probably late August-early September. You'll only get to the skills assessment after your interview if the managers consider you to be a top candidate and it's really just a reference check. Interviews are panels and it depends on the unit how many they want on the panel. Hope that helps!
  2. Are you sure that 40 wasn't regarding the cohort that just started? I'm currently in the July cohort that just started and we have about 39-40 people in our group. Lots of nurses are retiring this year so that 40 could be very well possible but I just wanted to make sure if it really is for the next coming cohort.
  3. Each school has a different amount of senior preceptorship hours. My school had 255hrs and usually you will get a call depending on which units are hiring and where you precepted
  4. Depends on the unit and if you make it to the next step which is skills survey, then after that it depends how fast all the skills surveys are received from all top candidates
  5. Sure lets talk privately email me, I believe my email is in the previous posts.
  6. Congrats! What unit did you get an offer? I have not received an official letter and I'm not sure if we do.
  7. Email me at [email protected] if you want to speak privately
  8. She said 4 people did and we should hear back from HR by the end of this week hopefully
  9. Yup! I talked to the manager yesterday and she said they were just waiting on one more people lol probably you
  10. Well from what the manager had told me... She said that at the end of that interview day, she will already know who she wants to hire...So what does that mean?!
  11. Lol yeah me too, one of my references is taking too long
  12. Yup! So what do you think of our chances?
  13. Anyone get a skills survey?
  14. Okay yeah, that's what I remembered. I just wanted to make sure lol. I didn't precept or have clinical on the floor that's the main aspect that discourages me :\ but I do volunteer on that floor, but that's nothing much.
  15. Oh that sucks about the PM! Anyways, yes I was the 5th person to interview and a sweaty mess when I arrived, good thing I was early so I could cool down lol. I think it went well...but who knows! What was your name btw?
  16. Is that last person an assistant nurse manager? I never heard of them haha so I'm wondering.
  17. The recruiter didn't state any ICU units except for PICU. And my dad works there and has talked to managers in the ICU and it seems like they don't want to hire any new grads unless they precepted there.
  18. it's okay! I was just saying thanks and I appreciate the advice. And I wanted to ask if you can say if its more behavioral or clinical
