  1. Hello mama_bird, I sympathize with you 100%... I am going through a similar situation and I wish you the best in your search. I found for myself, that trying to make the transition from being a stay-at- home parent back to work has been such a nightmare. And, nowadays it's a form of career suicide if you haven't been current in most of these health allied/nursing profession for a period of time. Keep the faith mama_bird and remember that I am in your corner, KIT and email me if you wanna vent.:typing
  2. Thanks, I'm going to look into that.
  3. Informative, Thanks..I didn't know that they actually gave out that information. I thought that they would prefer if you received pass rates by calling the college/university.
  4. Since there is a nursing shortage out there does anyone know of hospitals or offices being partial to hire based on where a new grad has earned her/his title from? Or, could the employer be so greatful to hire since there is a need to be fulfilled. Just curious.
  5. Najahlei, Did BMCC give you a hard time about signing up for pre-req's? If not, how did you explain to them your reason for taking them. When I started taking my pre-req's they(BMCC) literally wanted me to sign up for the program if I wanted to take my pre-req's and I told them I just wanted to pay for the courses that I needed so they sent me to the Dean of Biology and I had to wait with all these other people and was instructed to take courses that were out of sequence since I wasn't a BMCC student and they didn't care. I have to take two more pre-req's then I can start looking for a school just like you. BTW...I also have a child that is in daycare and it is not easy I feel your pain.
  6. Hi Falon, If you don't mind me asking, why did you change your mind about mid-manhattan? Did they ever get in touch with you? Is that the same school that is located on 127th Street uptown. Just being curious, I am looking around at various schools. Thanks for any info you can provide.
