  1. A couple having sex in bed who accidentally pushed the call light
  2. Like to know how your hospital handles c-section or nsvd patients who must remain on MgSo4 for 12 to 24 hrs post delivery. Do they remain in your L&D unit until off Mg? Are they moved to post partum Mother Baby unit as soon as the initial recovery period is over even if Mg is to remain running? Please include you hospital level, location, staff/ pt ratio for RN with the Mg pt. and you protocols would be nice also. Thanks
  3. I had an 11 yr old pt. I took care of her on the post partum mother/baby unit. She was a c-section and cried her entire stay because her friends could not visit her (age limit was 16 to visit). We never saw the father of the baby though she said it was her boyfriend. Her father visited everyday after work. He confided in me that if her ever saw "that boy" again, he would kill him.
  4. My hospital has LDR's. C-section & NSVD recoveries that were to remain on MgSO4 for 12 to 24 hrs were to remain in the LDR until MgSo4 was turned off and then they were moved to the Mother Baby unit. Recently it has been discussed whether pts on MgSO4 should be moved to the Mother Baby unit while still running the Mg. Would like to know what your hospital does in these cases. I am located in Illinois. If you could tell my what level your hospital is, where you are located, how you handle the post delivery pt still on MgSO4., staff/pt ratio for Rn with the Mg pt. I would appreciate it. Thanks
