The journey has been long and challenging, but I knew it was what I wanted and that wasn’t going to change, so I just had to stay focused and keeping working towards my goal ? Kitty-22 I interviewed on April 5th. I wasn’t sure how I did on the interview…I left it feeling “OK” …. I was concerned at how fast it went….I am also in “phase 2” at PCC and MHCC, too. I was an alternate at Clackamas CC and PCC last year but never got a spot!

Hello everyone , I just received acceptance to the OHSU nursing program Monmouth campus starting Fall 2022….this was my 4th year of applying to nursing programs…it’s hard to put into words how happy I am ….good luck to everyone ?

Hello :) Has anyone heard of any movement on the Clackamas alternate list? I remember at orientation one person mentioned they had got in off the list...so at least there is one of us so far! I am just wondering how many of us are left within the top 15.......and hoping they are able to add 6 more spots like they did last year :)

Hi Rachel , I can definitely relate , too. This is not my first rodeo (it’s more like my 3rd?).Try not to feel bad about yourself ...even making it to interview is a huge accomplishment. Did you apply anywhere else or just Clackamas ? Just curious. I went into the interview with 45 points.

Hello everyone, Congratulations to those offered a spot at Clackamas! I was placed as a top 15 alternate and went into the interview with 45 points. Last year I went into the interview with 43 points and did not make it to the top 15 alternates. I am still waiting to hear back from PCC-anyone else? The waiting is pretty painful ? Good luck to everyone on your nursing journey... it’s so competitive but we just have to keep at it no matter what I’m sure it will be worth it one day ?

Hello , I did and was waitlisted! I believe you definitely should have heard back at this point . I would search your emails again but you can always call to check in , too. The deposit for admitted students is due June 1st , just FYI . Good luck :)

Hi Anna, Last year I had 48 points at PCC and made it into phase 2 , and this year I believe I should have 50 as there are 2 points given for being an alternate. I’m pretty certain 47 is competitive , I just don’t know what the cut off was to make it to phase 2 last year. Some programs will list that information on their website. (MT.Hood let’s you know the minimum amount of points needed the year before to get invited to interview). Good luck . I really hope you get an invite.

Oh OK I see that now , thank you . When I looked back through my emails I received that one as well, just saying they received my application and the timeline going forward. I’m guessing by the end of March we should know if we are invited to interview since all of them seem to be the first week of April (unless a person applied to accelerated program those interviews are much sooner).

Hello, I haven’t heard anything from OHSU about essay invites quite yet :) What campus did you apply to? I hope we hear back soon, too.

Hello everyone! I also applied to OHSU Monmouth campus ? I was waitlisted last year at PCC and Clackamas but never got a spot so here I am applying again.....I have a BA in History, 9 years working for Providence the majority spent in inpatient behavioral health as mental health associate and about a year on the medical floors as a CNA. My GPA is not a 4.0 haha , that is very impressive for all of you that have one ! I do have all prerequisites complete. I also have 2 years of volunteering with an animal shelter and have dealt with some significant life challenges which I used for my essays (I filled out all the supplemental essay questions) Wishing everyone luck this application cycle!! Hi Maddiespell ? I had 44 points , interviewed but was waitlisted for Clackamas CC this year.I think you’re definitely going to be competitive to get an interview next year , although it always depends on the applicant pool. I might be there again with you if I don’t get in somewhere this year (I was waitlisted at 3 programs ). Good luck to you and take care !

LOL Yesica that comment made my day! Thank you for letting me join in? I am waitlisted at Clackamas, Linn Benton, and PCC (2nd year applying to programs). Stay positve, it isn't over yet haha. Does OHSU program start mid September? Also, Yesica you could touch base with HR at your work about giving you an extension to accept the scholarship, if you explain your situation they might give some extra time :)

Hi Av930 and Yesica, I am not on the waitlist for OHSU, but an "alternate" for 3 community college programs and feel your pain.... The wait is killing me,too. I had applied to OHSU Monmouth but didn't get an interview. OHSU is still working through their alternate lists, then? Good luck to you both, hope you get a spot ? !

Yes, I think all alternates have to attend the orientation. I will keep my fingers crossed for us, too!

Hi :) I am thinking that once the deadline passes to accept a spot in program or the alternate spot, it could be possible that we will find out where we fall on the alternate list, but I’m not sure how it’s going to work this year -I think it’s too soon right now because they need to see how many accept first, if that makes any sense :) Keeping our fingers crossed for us ! Maybe after June 15th we will hear of some movement , or a number so we know where we fall :)

Hi Whitney, I am an alternate at PCC,too. I was also wondering when the deadline is for those that got accepted. I think all alternates must attend the orientation on the 29th (I remember seeing that in the slideshow we had to watch ). Hopefully we get a spot at some point , it’s just so hard not knowing :/

I was placed as an alternate at PCC? I am trying to stay positive that a spot becomes available! Curtxwild, I also heard from Clackamas on May 18th, maybe e-mail them to check in since you never heard back after the interview ? ?
