  1. Me! Mine is about a nine week course. Starts May 28. It's my last pre-req I am so ready to be done !
  2. I definitely needed to read this, I'm waiting to get a letter back, hopefully by the end of May. I definitely can't help but feel discouraged at times myself but I have to remind myself of my major goal of becoming an RN and how I know I will be a great nurse one day.
  3. At the hospital I volunteer at you had to apply and then they called you in for orientation and asked you what your too three areas you wanted to work at. And then they put you where the most help is needed and how it worked with the days you could come in. Try going to the hospitals website. A lot of them have a tab for volunteering. Not sure how nursing homes work.
  4. Chemistry is not easy at all, many of us took a C a walked away happily. I have done really well in A & P 1 ( came out with a B) and doing well in A & P 2 now. I take micro this summer. Don't beat yourself up about chemistry your doing very well, keep it up! I would have loved to have had a B. lol.
  5. Congratulations everyone that got the letter or e -mail!
  6. I am too! deadline was April 1st. They said we should receive letters about 8 weeks from the deadline. So around the end of May I should know something. Two weeks left in this spring semester then I will officially be stalking the mailman the last two weeks in May.
  7. Nurse2b7337 that's great! Good luck to you with summer classes!
  8. Nurse2b7337, I had to ask my best friend who is a finance major the same thing about the difference. The best way to put it is that Macro is the bigger picture, and micro is more detailed economics. I really don't understand why we are required to have it for nursing. Lol and my teacher said the same thing. But I chose micro because the teacher was supposed to be a little better then the macro teacher and we ended up getting a whole new teacher. And the reason I say it's hard is because considering I'm not a business or finance major all the terms in micro are like a whole new language to me and my grade is based only off of test. No homework no assignments just 4 test. Talk about the pressure. Haha But I would suggest taking macro instead of micro and make sure you can get a pretty good teacher. You can do it though!
  9. That is a heavy load for summer. But you can do it! Stay focused, be organized and manage your time wisely! I personally did not like statistics I took it this past fall and was happy when it was over. I am taking microeconomics now and it's my toughest class this semester. I am enjoying A & P II right now. My last pre requisite is Microbiology and I am taking it this summer. Good luck to you !
