  1. I have not tried working in Abu Dhabi but I have colleagues from the Philippines working there. The pay is great in government hospitals too. You can certainly take the DHA exam if you prefer Dubai. With regards to the MOH and HAAD exams, I have no experience. But I know for a fact that DHA license can now be converted to HAAD license. Since I have not lived in Abu Dhabi, I can tell you that Dubai is a nice place. Most of them relocate to Dubai because according to them it is more lenient there as compared to Abu Dhabi in terms of cultural, physical, and traditional aspect. In my opinion, both are nice places to stay. I stayed in Dubai because my husband is working there and that is my only reason.
  2. Hi, There won't be any harm in trying. I cannot see any reason why they should not accept you if you think you are qualified based on the requirements. Dubai is a diverse multicultural place and people from different countries get along and work well together as one great team.
  3. You can try applying for the DHA exam but you have to verify with them if your experience is valid for the requirement.
  4. Good standing certificates will be directly sent to DHA. Employment certificates are to be scanned and uploaded as a requirement. Both need not be red ribboned.
  5. You can check the DHA website for more information with regards to that. I apologize I am not knowledgeable for that matter.
  6. DHA will send you an e-mail regarding the payment details. Also do regularly check your DHA account for any notifications.
  7. Congratulations for passing the exam! I myself have weighed the pros and cons. In my own honest opinion, hospitals that are well-established absolutely pays more than the clinics, twice as much or more :) But you have to choose wisely depending on your circumstances. In my case, I waited for many months before the perfect offer came and it was all worth the wait.
  8. ac_0715, Dialysis nursing is a specialized area. I am sure if you have gained 2 years experience from that you will be qualified for the exam.
  9. NLA_RN, As per requirements from the DHA website, minimum of 2 years nursing experience is needed to apply for the DHA licensure exam.
  10. sharlowtee26, Now that I am on the process of application for a nurse position, I came across those companies that are offering lower than that. Everything would depend on the institution, your experience, and the type of specialty you have. But the average would be I think 4k-6k dhs.
  11. sreejith vr, What I can advise you is first, submitt the required document which is your Valid Good Standing Certificate from your previous work. Based on the statement, that is what you need to do. Second, contact the DHA personnel to further verify this matter on what you should do. You can either give them a call for immediate clarification or send them an e-mail.
  12. tacomaster, Prometric is the counterpart of NCLEX in Dubai. I have no idea how much would be the salary of an American nurse but I bet it would be a good amount depending of course on the experience. I have some friends working in American Hospital Dubai and the benefits are good.
  13. findingnetto, Everyone has a shot in passing the exam. You just have to study and refresh your nursing knowledge. Of course you must be a registered nurse in the Philippines before you can take the exam.
  14. reenanova, there are cases of some newly graduate Filipino nurses who got the job. There is actually no minimum experience required before you take the DHA exam for nurses, they will evaluate you and verify your credentials before they give you the go signal to take the exam. But because of a lot of nurses with qualified experiences, you might have to compete with them for the job. I suggest you gain more experience but it is completely up to you. If you really are keen and determined to go to Dubai then I bid well wishes for you.
  15. You actually don't need to. But just to be sure, some of the employers are looking for autheticated/red-ribboned credentials when you apply in Dubai.
