I got accepted into Cal State LA's entry level masters program. It's the same type of program as Western.... 16 months of full time schooling/clinicals before taking the NCLEX, then the masters portion can be completed while working as a nurse. I'd recommend looking into it, there are several different NP tracks available. Good luck!

Sooo I finally, 7 months after applying, got an alternate letter. Luckily in the midst of this wait I was accepted into another program that's starting in June. I wish you all the best of luck in the programs you choose and for those still waiting and applying, do not feel discouraged. It's not at all unusual to not get into your first choice or to have to apply more than just one year. I know many people who have been rejected several times only to finally be accepted into great programs that worked out wonderfully for them. Just continue to pursue this career and if at all possible, continue to build up your résumé for next years application process. Good luck to you all!

I interviewed on 3/21 and haven't heard anything from them. Being that someone already heard back I can assume it doesnt mean anything good for me haha. I believe there were 16 of us because there were two no shows.

Jcsong, I tried searching it but the only thing that popped up was the 2011 cohort 8 group. Maybe it's private? I've never made a group so am not sure how they work exactly.

Does everyone who was accepted plan on committing? I think a Facebook group is a good idea!

Hi jmlee, I am not sure about the last interview date but at the end of my interview I was told that we would hear by the end of the month!

Hi everyone! I am new to this discussion board, but I noticed a lot of you are speculating as to whether this new interview date is in fact legitimate or not. I also recieved a rejection about a week or two ago via email and then got an interview invite on Wednesday of this week. I remember staring at the email for about a minute because I thought I was reading something wrong, but apparently they really do want to interview more people. Unfortunately I cannot give you a reason, of course. I responded via email right away because I was at work and was unable to call and recieved a confirmation email within the hour. The interview date is March 21. I was not provided with any other options as to when I could interview. I know this is probably not what any of you want to hear, but please don't hold it against any of us late interviewers! We are feeling the same exact things you are all feeling, and may be feeling even worse since we already had to deal with the rejection. It will work out for everyone how it is supposed to. It is a great program and only natural for us to all want to be accepted! Good luck to everyone.
