What is it like to practice RN in Florida
Thank you and I do want it! Pay anywhere on the east coast down from DC is low 20s-25s including TN, so why not be in a no state income tax and in beautiful FL ☺ï¸

What is it like to practice RN in Florida
Thank you for the reply. It's just a coworker and we had that discussion and I even asked if she worked in FL and got a no and I gave her the "how do you know then" look. She was making me feel like I was making the worst decision of my career and I had to ask..Thank you for basically verifying what I knew in my head.

What is it like to practice RN in Florida
Hey y'all!! I need help quick, fast, and in a hurry!! I have a job opportunity in Florida coming and was talking to a RN at my current job..she said DO NOT PRACTICE RN IN FLORIDA because of the standards, malpractices, and so bad my license would be on the line. She said look on allnurses.com, so here I am! I have to know soon so as to take this or pass! It's getting me closer to home on East Coast and out of Seattle!

What are the item(s) you need most for nursing school?
Hello. I hope this helps anyone starting nursing school. I start school this year and have been asking for all kinds of advice. I read the previous replies and they were great. I wanted to add some to it to help. I have been told these things will help me. 1-palm pilot (you can download the pharmacuticals from the internet to the palm pilot and use during clinicals to look up rx info. 2-a good stethoscope that will include adult and pediatric end (Litman has good prices and student discounts as well as free student cd's with hear sounds) 3-Berkenstock shoes are really comfortable (arch support, wish crocs came in full shoes because they are the best) 4-braco, peaches, and crest are durable scrubs to wear and most places offer a student discount 5-digital watch with seconds display or second hand That's all I can think of right now. Hope this helps

Nursing school advice needed
:rotfl: Hello everyone. I am in my last year of prereq's and am applying for nursing school this fall for next year. I am not really getting advice from the school that I need. I am not exactly sure what nursing field that I want to go into. I know that the neonatal and surgery are my top 2 but everyone frowns at me when I say neonatal but really don't tell me why and in surgery...I don't want to hand the Dr his/her tools I want to be in the action and help. What are my options there? I looked into PA but with all that school requirements I'll just go into my PhD.MD. Can anyone give me advice?
