  1. Mrs. Law, I am familiar with you and your husband's medical spa through TV commercials, FB and the wonderful things you all do in the community. Your expertise in the field will be beneficial on AN! Keep up the great work! From a future nurse..
  2. Congratulations!! I start Nursing school in the fall and the PMHNP is my end goal. I see you said you worked per diem on the unit that you will be a PMHNP on, did you also work full time acute psych before then? If so, for how long? Thanks!
  3. I got into Nursing School as well!!! I am so excited!!! Congrats to everyone!
  4. You have went through a lot! So great to hear that you are doing well! Congratulations!
  5. Hi CTurner, I'm also in the Raleigh area! I agree with another poster if you can sell your house and minimize all debt that would be ideal. When admitted to my program I will be leaving my full time job, pulling out my retirement and livig off of that and Working part time to make some money. If it was just me I would minimize everything and stay with family but because I am married with a 7yr old it is not ideal for us to sell our house. Don't know what your situation is exactly but if it is just you, I would downsize completely for the next 2 years.
  6. I totally love your last sentence. So true!
  7. Have you looked up any online resources for reading comprehension? I could see that being difficult especially for students in which english is not their first language. Not sure if this is the case with you. Study study study. Looks like you are doing great on the harder subjects though.
  8. I take my TEAS on 2/15 and I cannot wait to get it over with! So far I have been studying about 2 weeks and I am hoping to score over an 80% which would make me competitive for the programs that I am applying for. Good Luck everyone!
  9. I have a question about ECU's ABSN program. One part of the website said that the science courses should be within the last five years. Is this true? Unfortunately I graduated w/ my BA in 2006 and would have to take some science courses over if so Good Luck to all!
