  1. To: noveau & lani_g85 Thanks for your input. God bless...
  2. To: sbeattrix (Regarding your post on timeline for visa app and documents submitted.) Thanks so much for the useful information sbeattrix. I went to VIA Center the other day and they said it's okay to submit photocopied docs and a lot of their clients do this. I have been following this thread and most of the forumers here submitted either original or certified true copies for the processing of their visas. Do you think the processing time will be affected if we just submit photocopied docs instead of certified or original ones? Or do you know of somebody who still got their visas despite submitting photocopied docs? I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this matter. Thanks in advance and God bless.
  3. Thanks for that info rsa_0513. God bless...
  4. Ok thanks mapie87. I'll probably do that. God bless on your upcoming trip and studies...
  5. Thanks so much for that info ms. lani_g. It's very helpful. I'm a little relieved in knowing that. God bless.
  6. Hi ms. lani_g, Just wanted to ask if your AHPRA LOE also stated in the last paragraph this: "If we have not been notified that you have completed a course by , your application will be deemed to have been withdrawn pursuant to section 80(5) of the National Law. Please be aware extensions beyond this date will not be granted." I read in previous threads (p. 21 of Meeting AHPRA requirements as an Intl Nurse in the Phils) that the LOE previously stated "if we have not been notified that you have commenced a course by 08/03/2013, your application will expire and become void and your incomplete application will be destroyed. extensions beyond this date will not be granted." Just wanted to clarify if your LOE is like mine or like the previous thread? Thanks so much.
  7. Hi mapie87. I was wondering if you knew personally somebody who was able to get in IHNA without the 2 year experience? I also have the same dilemma. I want to apply there but I only have one year and 8 months experience. Perhaps, they were able to accommodate applicants without the 2 year experience a few years back? Do you know of anybody who was able to skip that requirement recently? Thanks.
  8. Ok noted. Thanks ms. lani_g. God bless.
  9. Hi rsa_0513! I've been reading this thread. I was just wondering if you were able to get an extension of validity of your LOE from AHPRA WA? If yes, how many months did they give you? Thanks.
  10. Hi lani_g85, I was not granted an extension since I just got my LOE and I was just replying to their 14-day deadline if I agreed to the one-year LOE validity. They said they will only grant extensions in "extreme circumstances". BTW, I did this in AHPRA WA (same as you did) but maybe your concern is considered "extreme". Keep your hopes up!
  11. Hi everyone! I hope someone can help enlighten me on what to do next. I received my LOE last month and I’m now looking into schools that I can enrol in. My first choice is IHNAin Perth since this is where my siblings live and obviously would save some cost on accommodation if I were to take up my BP there. Well, my problem now is that I don’t have the 2-year experience that this school requires and that will happen only in October this year. (I guess I applied too early with AHPRA.) The school will only accept me if I have the 2-year experience certificate which I can submit by October 2013. Unfortunately, my LOE will expire mid-February 2014 which will mean cutting it too close to the deadline considering the VISA application will take 1-3 months processing (as per inquiry at VIA Center). Evenif a slot is given to me during the January 2014 intake, I will still not be able to complete the BP by the February deadline. I asked AHPRA for an extension as early as now, but was turned down. My question is, Is it possible to withdraw my Application for Registration with AHPRA now and get some kind of refund for the “registration fee” part and hopefully reapply to AHPRA in July or August this year to fit my timetable? I was thinking, even if Ihave to pay the AHPRA fees again, it will still be much cheaper than spending around AU$3-5K for accommodation if I go to another state. I would really appreciate your inputs guys. Thanks in advance.
  12. I emailed AHPRA a request for extension of validity last March 4 thru their web enquiry and also sent my case officer a copy of the letter. I got my reply today, March 6.
  13. Hi! I'm new here and I was wondering if it is wise to start with the immunizations even if I don't have a specific BP school yet. I recently received my LOE and I'm still looking at schools to apply to. Is there a specific format that I can download regarding vaccinations where the physician can sign? Or do I have to wait for the BP school to give me this requirement? Thanks.
