  1. RELAX. eat your favorite food, go watch a movie, get a very good night sleep and pray. let your brain work tomorrow! GOD bless and goodluck!
  2. that is Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment. It will help you a lot on the exam. It is a really hard book and it will teach you how to analyze on such situation. When I am planning for my 2nd take I said to myself that I should take after the 45 days asap. and if I fail ill take it again on the next 45 days. It depends on how you feel confident to yourself. If you get time, dont force yourself on the book. Let your brain relax for sometime. That is what I learned from my 1st take I can rush to finish 1 book a week which was not healthy. GOD bless and Goodluck.
  3. i tried doing all the questions from NCSBN and after I received the result where I failed I focused on that specific part. actually on my 1st take I read saunders, PDA, Exam Cram, Kaplan Strategies along with NCSBN.. on my 2nd take I focused mostly on NCSBN and HESI book. Just believe in yourself that you can do it. PDA helps a lot cause mostly they give out triaging questions. GOODLUCK!
  4. dont give up arviie. i got almost triaging on my last exam.. focus on NCSBN questions and PDA and Prayers. Hope this helps! GOD bless you! You can do it!
  5. i would strongly suggest PDA and NCSBN plus PRAYERS. GOD bless you all!
  6. snowyeyes2: dont get discouraged. I know how it feels to be in your situation after I failed. Don't loose hope. Just think that everything happens for a reason and this should not let you stop from attaining your dreams. It is not impossible to pass as long as you believe in yourself and pray harder. Nothing is impossible. Read more of what you are weak in. GOD bless you!
  7. hi futurenurse33, i would suggest focusing on your weak areas. I would recommend NCSBN review course. :) the NCSBN flashcard is very good in studying. :) GOODLUCK and GOD bless! :)
  8. It was like a dream, NOOO I hope I am not!! My dreams came into reality after I opened the mailed letter of results. I was crying all the time after I touched it. And felt it was so thin, unlike the first mail I received which was thick. By then on I knew I passed! I was crying before my husband opened the mail and was screaming for happiness after he confirmed i really pass! Things I did before I took the exam: 1. Prayed really hard everyday. :) 2. Review with HESI and Read the book 3/4 of it focusing on my weak points-Maternity and Pediatrics. Our instructor was so great she helped us analyze the questions and calculations. :) 3. Got NCSBN review course online. Read some of it and took tests. 4. Had all the normal values on my wall and diseases/values/medications that I usually forget. 5. NCSBN Medication flashcards read all the details about it. On my first exam I read through cover to cover Saunders Comprehensive Review, PDA of Lacharity, Exam Cram, Kaplan Strategies Book, the Mnemonics from one of the topics here in allnurses. It took me 265q and 5 hours and 50 mins to take the exam. I knew I was not prepared enough before I took the exam. Everything I got was so hard. I was praying over questions to questions coz I really dont know the answer and choosing what I think was a bit practical to my senses. This was harder than my 1st take. A week before my exam: 1. Brushed up with imp normal values, EKG, and some meds. 2 Did review questions with NCSBN about 30-50 questions. 3 days before the exam: I got lazy studying kept on thinking that I'll fail it and I am not prepared enough to take it.. Got a lot of rest and Praying. Went enjoying the last day before my exam treating my husband and daughter the whole day just to make me tired and sleep early. Before I took the exam, kept talking to myself that I can make it. I need to be positive while I am looking at my dear husband and daughter. Kissed both of them and went in. EVERYONE CAN DO IT TOO! JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! BE POSITIVE THAT YOU CAN MAKE IT! PRAY TO HIM!! GOD BLESS EVERYONE! GOOD LUCK! I Hope this helps. :) with lotz of love to allnurses and those who inspired me to achieve my license now. :) CJS, RN:nurse:
  9. congratulations! i hope to receive my results by mail later or tomorrow. I hope all went well too.. GOD bless You! To GOD be the glory!
  10. Same here briauna. Just be calm the last time I took the test I was very anxious. All I think was the time running on the screen(which was the worst thing I did). Stay focused and read each word of the question. I will be taking the exam 3 days from now. I did not prepare as much as I prepared the 1st time with 5 books and still failed. I hope everything will be alright and I hope we pass the exam! GOD bless you and goodluck!
  11. Thanks lovenicole1970.. Yes I am reviewing on my weak points now based on my previous exam. I hope and pray that we will pass this! GOD bless and goodluck too on your exam!

  15. i cant send PM kpatid coz im just new here. If I'll be able to answer it, SURE! But let me tell you that I failed on my last exam. And trying once again on April. I felt over reviewed and stressed out reading everything, I hope this time I can get through it even more relaxed.

  20. thanks bolbol, i did the whole Lacharity book. It was really awesome on my prioritization during the exam. Maybe read through it if I get more time. :)
  21. Yes, I tried the book. It was good in strategies and questions and maybe read through it sometime before I take the exam, but for now I'll try the NCSBN which is very close to the NCLEX exam. Let's hope for the best. GOD bless you on your coming exam! :)
  22. thanks kemifair, still hoping to pass this test. GOD bless you on your BIG DAY! :)
  23. I failed NCLEX RN last February 27. Instead of enjoying the vacation, I ended up staring. I was in a state of shock. I dont know if I over reviewed. I got a lot of SATA(the hardest of all), ECG, Prioritization. My exam stopped at 210. I knew I failed. My attention wasnt so good coz it was 2pm and I feel sleepy not a very good choice for me. Still hoping to get through this depression. But I know GOD has plans why I did not make it and why HE dont give it to me yet. HE has plans. I should still be thankful. This are just challenges we got after we fail. I decided to retake after 45 days. Gonna focus on NCSBN because I think this is the closest I can get. I Hope I can make it this time. GOD bless everyone! Dont loose hope, just PRAY! Even some of us dont hold our licenses yet, I know in GOD's grace soon it will be ours. Just be patient and study more!
  24. Hi! I am so glad to tell my story and to ease a bit of my anxiety for the BIG exam tomorrow. :) I feel so nervous that I want to vomit all my intestine out! lol:yuck: I am an international BSN graduate of 2010, took the exam there and with GOD's grace I passed after I graduated. I was so happy then but never had a chance to practice it.(due for some reasons) Anyways, 2 years passed and my husband's petition for us got approved by the US Embassy. I am so grateful. I studied as a CNA (they said it was a stepping stone for me to be absorbed from the facility after I passed my NCLEX RN) passed the demo and exam. I am working as a CNA for 10 months now for night shift. 3 years had passed since I graduated, and I had a very BIG DOUBT of myself. I am an average person if you would rank our class from college. I studied over for 3 months since December 2012. I finished: 1. SAUNDERS COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW 5TH EDITION --done within a matter of month. Which is very overwhelming. I felt like I started my whole nursing career. A very good book for refreshing your mind. (1,032 questions) 2. EXAM CRAM Practice QUestion for NCLEX RN --free book online. So grateful to have this. I also have the book with comprehensive review and 500 questions on it. (1,250 questions) 3. KAPLAN STRATEGIES, PRACTICE, AND REVIEW 2011-1012 --good book for strategies. Hard questions indeed. (265 Questions) 4. KAPLAN QUESTION TRAINERS 1-6 --- all free at the website. Never took the QT7 I felt so dumb(coz im getting low scores!) I cant even apply the things I learned from the book. The author really challenged my mind! lol and to prevent my self from getting depressed even more never did QT7. My scores: QT1:56, QT2:56, QT3:55, QT4:54, QT5:55, QT6:57 5. PRIORITIZATION, DELEGATION, AND ASSIGNMENT by La Charity --very good book for prioritization though honestly i didn't understand some of the rationales. 6.SAUNDERS APPLICATION for Iphone- (1000 questions maybe.) Nice questions which I can really get high scores. (from an ipod touch that i jailbreak so its free!) 7. NCSBN Review Course Online-- plenty hard questions. You just need to be patient coz its too direct and some dont have rationales enough for you to understand why it is in the choices. Posted on my Bedroom Wall: Laboratory Values, the ECG strip, the precaution Mnemonics, OB Mnemonics, IV and Medication calculation(coz Math doesn't like me!), Some Pharma and Antidotes for a Medicine, and some Topics I got confused to like Graves ds, Myxedema, Parkinsons, Cushings, Addison, etc. I watched mass every Sunday online(coz of my work sched) and made a vow to GOD to do somethings and NOT to do while I am on my review. Prayed to GOD as much as I can.. Thanking HIM of every single thing I would be very thankful of. And finally did it all. But I still feel unprepared. I don't know if the anxiety is too much that it makes me depressed right now. I am Palpitating. BUt In HIS grace all things are POSSIBLE. If I pass that would be a very very thankful to HIM who gave me everything and if I fail I know HE has plans for me. So I leave it all to HIS hands now. Ill be spending the day with my husband and child and go shopping! YAY! Thank YOu for taking time to read my post! I hope all will get fine tomorrow and to those who will take the exam too. Ill keep you Posted! GOD bless Us ALL!
