  1. INFJ :) where do I find which specialty is best for my type?
  2. I'm pretty sure the only class that is optional is Critical Thinking
  3. I thought the critical thinking was optional :-O
  4. I can't wait to meet everyone at orientation! Everybody talks about how difficult the program is prepare to drown blah blah blah but let's brush that off and have a positive mindset going in! We're gunna be nurses in less than 2 years! :))
  5. Appeal!! I'm sure Leila asked because she thinks there's a real shot for u, and I'm sure she'd remember your name when the time comes
  6. Yay accepted! Been waiting to hear that word for a long time now! Congrats to everyone that made it! Good luck to everyone, whether you attend this program or another out there!
  7. I got the same email! Ughhhh i was like FINALLY lol but just a tease!
  8. Oh yay thank you! I feel like all I hear or read is how awful nursing school is, and all these "I'm failing miserably" posts, so thank you Jesus finally someone who says it's possible to pass! Lol. I'm hoping to start in August, and I also have no kids/no job with plenty of time to study, so it feels nice to have someone to relate to :) thank you for all your suggestions!
  9. Ughh they need to get it together! New person doing points or not, they need to give us enough time to get ready for the program or explore other options! Venting =]
  10. Ughhhhh I'm dying over here! Lol the wait is always so brutal, especially towards the end! Eeeek
  11. Don't worry ubiquitous, you're not alone! I know quite a few people who have health care experience yet their point hasn't been posted yet. I'm sure you'll be fine :) good luck to you!
  12. Ahhh, me too! Ready for an answer eek... Good luck to everyone!
  13. Good for you! Wow you're definitely in good standings if the cutoff was 25 before
  14. Hey! I'm applying to this upcoming fall cycle, but I wanted to chime in :) 27 points is just about what I have, too. I don't have much experience with the PBSC nursing program... Is that a pretty competitive score? If u have the time, do the volunteer work for an extra point! I don't know how many hours they require, but it shouldn't be too much
  15. I really love what Esme said. It's so true. I'll be starting nursing school in August and I'm so scared of what will happen to my relationship when we go from spending all day every day together, to barely ever. But it's very true... Nursing school will only be two years or so, which is to vital to your life because you must have a career!, so if you guys really love each other, you should be able to stick it out for another year. I know things are rough right now, but try to hang on just one more year until you're finished with school. Fight for your relationship to survive :)
  16. Congrats to everyone that made it into the program! Good for you guys :) Katherine I applied last year and got denied, but really wanted to go to FAU so I waited a whole year to apply again. My science GPA is 4.0 and I scored in the 99th percentile on the TEAS, sure that I would make the cut this time. I didn't even make the interview phase, so honestly I would look into other programs if you're worried about waiting a whole year. Now I feel way behind on my goals, when it is nearly impossible to get into this program :/ I just don't know what more they want if top scores aren't enough. Try to get some insight on how exactly they rank the applicants. There are other great nursing colleges in the S Fl region :) I heard PBSC gives a lot of hands-on training vs. book work. You just get an ASN but the ASN-BSN bridge is only a year I think :)
  17. Oh my goodness! Good luck everyone!! That's awesome news!
  18. Did anyone else with highly competitive scores not receive an invite yet? :-/
  19. Any12, did you apply for traditional or accelerated? I'm freaking out over here
  20. I haven't received one yet either :-( I'm still hoping that they are just sending the acceptances out sporadically by appointment time, as it seems like a lot of the acceptances are for very early appointments. No denial email either, so let's still hold out hope!
  21. Check your NursingCAS profile and see what email you provided on there... That's the one that they will send the email to. For me it's my personal email
  22. Congratulations everybody!
  23. That's my theory Quendi :-) it does make sense! (Crossing fingers desperately) lol
  24. I completely agree, MrsLucky. That's one of the reasons why I re-applied again this year. Dr. D is so compassionate with us, even after we got denied, she still sent communicated with us and helped us out as much as possible when she really didn't have to at all. But that's how amazing the administrators are at FAU. I want to be a part of this program so bad... I'm really praying we all make it together! There's still hope guys!! I think we are all just freaking ourselves out because we want this so bad
  25. I just don't know why they have to torture us like this lol why would they send some out last night and leave the rest of us hanging? I'm really hoping they still have acceptance emails for traditional :-/
