  1. Yeah I had no idea there was even a checklist, I barely had the time to even apply because I got wait listed at other schools for the fall semester, but I didn't find out until 2 weeks before the spring deadline, so I just had to hurry up and apply to TWU. It really sucks because I signed up for the TEAS for TWU, so it should have automatically sent my scores. Well that's one less person yall have to compete with so good luck to the rest of you!!! :]
  2. If anyone else didn't know, you might want to go check your TWU emails now.
  3. So I had no idea there was a TWU email that we had to check until thaovu said it.... For all the other schools they email you on your actual email, and you don't have to use your school email until school starts. I just now checked my TWU email and turns out they didn't receive my TEAS score either, even though I sent it months ago. The deadline to send it by was Sept. 16 so it really sucks that my application won't be in the running anymore. I tried calling and emailing the person in charge and hopefully she'll still accept it. But if they don't then it's totally not fair because I didn't get any information about there being a TWU email.
  4. Congrats!!!
  5. [h=3]I found this in the FAQ section of NursingCas, so even if we end up having to resubmit scores, I'm guessing it would be later when UTMB asks for them. Q: Where do I send my test scores?[/h]A: ALL official test scores should be sent directly to your designated program(s). Your are able to self report your scores the “Test” section of your application.
  6. Are you guys sure that we don't have to send TEAS scores again? I would think you do since we have to reapply. But the first time I took it, our scores were automatically sent. I don't know how to resend our old score now.. I couldn't find an option for UTMB on their list of schools to send it to.
  7. Yeah I'm going to do the same. Seems like there's a lot of people on the waitlist so a lot of us probably won't get in. I don't have access to my old nursingcas application so I don't have my old personal statement and I gotta start over I thought I wrote a good one last time and I'd like to reuse it lol
  8. You have 2 weeks to retake the TEAS for UTMB, but you have more time to take the HESI because most schools that require HESI don't have deadlines until August. And I'm pretty sure you can use your old scores, but if there's anyone like me, I was hoping to take it again and get a better score. But 2 weeks is definitely not enough time to study and retake it so I think I'll just use my old score.
  9. Patrick, I think you should definitely apply to utmb. Your scores are good enough to probably get you on the waitlist if not accepted. Last semester I couldn't figure out the transcript form thing either so I just sent my transcripts without it and it still worked. I don't wanna recommend it because what if it doesn't go through this year. And since your hesi scores are so good, you should look into more schools that require hesi because there's a bunch.
  10. My gpa is waaaay lower than yours and I also got a 62% on the science section so I'm guessing, like everyone said, they actually do look at everything.
  11. Overall gpa: 3.2 when I applied, it's 3.35 now Science: 2.8 Teas: 78
  12. I think you wait and keep your papers ready. That way if they do call you, you have your stuff ready to go.
  13. I got waitlisted too! Fingers crossed!
  14. And congrats btw!
  15. If you guys got in somewhere else, stop relying on UTMB. Pick one and go there. If you keep waiting, you'll just have less time to prepare for the fall. The only reason you should be waiting for their decision is if you didn't get in anywhere else or if none of the other programs are a BSN. You guys have great opportunities in front of you!
  16. No one's picking up. I'll keep trying later. Anyone who got accepted, did you have a certain date by which you had to accept or decline? Because maybe they'll tell us after the accepted people have made their decisions.
  17. I can't find their number! If someone gives it to me, I'll call! I want to ask them if they'll extend the deadline for Spring like they did for this Fall because 3 weeks is very little time, and so many of us still don't have a reply from them about fall.
  18. Don't worry we've all been checking our emails constantly for the past three months.
  19. Yeah doesn't the spring application period end in July? That's very little time if anyone wanted to take the teas again and reapply for spring.
  20. I feel like they should give us more information if they're going to take this much time. Like how many spots are left and why it's taking so long. We've all been patiently waiting and it was okay to wait till now, but a couple more weeks is pretty ridiculous. I understand that they have hundreds of applicants but so do all the other nursing schools. I'm sure the ones in Houston probably get even more applicants but they sent out acceptances and rejections back in March/April. UTMB definitely needs a better system or something.
  21. I'm on the waitlist for another school so I'm also hoping for UTMB :/
  22. I got the wait list email today. It said we'll know by June 10th! Fingers crossed!!
  23. For your overall gpa, you get 1 point for each 0.1 over 2.5. My overall gpa is 3.2, so that would get me 7 points. Then you get 1 point fo every 0.1 over 3.0 for your gpa of BSN prereqs. My gpa for BSN prereqs is 3.4 so that gives me 4 points. But your main points are calculated based on if you got a C or above in your classes. I hope this makes sense. MSU: Nursing, Wilson School of
  24. You can fill out your entire application and have it ready to go, so that once you're done with school, you have 15 days to get them your transcript. The deadline was extended to Feb 15th this year so maybe it'll be extended again next year too?
