Motlow College 2015 Applicants
The schedule is crazy. One day you might go all five days the next two days and the next three days. Thats a flaw but being a nurse is being flexible too. Most weeks are four days. There are always two days in lecture. Then you have labs, clinicals, presentations, and other stuff to attend too.

Trust me when I say the program is almost completely nontraditional students. Your class might not be that way but ours definitely is 😊

Good luck guys! I'm in the program now and waiting is the worst part. I feel like just yesterday I got my acceptance letter! If you get accepted, then time will start to fly by. Get ready for the craziest, most stressful, yet most rewarding journey of your life.

I'm confused about that too! They said in May we would go four days a week but when I checked my schedule I only have three days on campus. (Not that I'm complaining!)

I got my shoes from Clayton's shoe store in Tullahoma. They are completely white and genuine leather. The only problem was the price but they feel amazing.

I went to the Murfreesboro location as well around noon a few days ago. The whole waiting room was full, but my suggestion is maybe not to go during lunch hour like I did!

Yes I heard the same thing about the shoes. All white, white sole, and leather because if you drop a needle on mesh shoes it will go through the mesh.

They make jump drive recorders. I had one last year and when my history teacher asked what it was, I said it was my jump drive, because it is! Plus, they are so small you could put it in your purse, pocket, even bra!

I have a question for anybody who is already in the program, do you think it is possible to work and attend nursing school?
-

Yeah thanks for the tip, I had no clue!

I have taken sooo many classes! Haha I went to UAH in plan to go their nursing school, but changed my mind. I am in micro right now and I love it. It is very interesting and she makes the class about as easy as she possibly can. Plus she is so funny. However, I have taken so many biology classes I find it easier. If you have not taken biology then it will probably be harder.

Good luck everybody! And even if you do not get in, remember that life is full of roadblocks, I think it is God's way of teaching us to be patient. (I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for denial just incase!)

Home health problem
My father doesn't think it is safe. He thinks I am going to encounter creepy young men that need 'home health' or encounter unsafe individuals. I don't completely understand his thoughts, but I do still live with him and I have to obey him. However, I tried to tell him it is a safe process and I should be caring for the elderly but he isn't buying it. Have you ever been in unsafe homes? Or, have you ever taken care of younger pts?

Home health problem
Hello everybody. I just accepted a home health job, and when I proceeded to tell my father about it, he flipped out. He is telling me I am making a horrible decision and I am not wise enough. I am just very discouraged now, I know he means well but he isn't a cna and he doesn't know what I do. So, I just want to know what y'all think about home health. Is it bad?

Home health aid vs assisted living vs long term care
Hey everybody! I am needing some help, and several opinions on what I should do with my job. I currently am a cna at a nursing home, but I'm pretty burned out and it's getting unbearable. I am looking for a better opportunity. So, I started to put in applications. Almost immediately I got an interview at a home health agency. Then, I got another interview with an assisted living facility. I was thrilled because I know both will be a new, different experience. I went to my home health interview and it went good and if I say yes then I have the job. Later today, I have my other interview. I just wanted to know if anybody could tell me their experiences with home health/ assisted living. :) Any opinion or comment is welcome!
