  1. I use my powerpoint handout from lecture. I write down all the material form lecture that I can. Most of my teachers post their notes, so I go through and copy those. After that I read the chapter and take a substantial amount of notes out of the book. I try to get this done within 2-3 days after lecture and then make sure to read them at least once a day until the test. I generally do pretty well with this.
  2. I dont care if a hospital covers me or not. I will always carry my own malpractice insurance. I use NSO.
  3. All the teachers in Muncie are super awesome! That is the one reason Im sad I wont be in the Muncie campus this time around. Plus my friend I had from LPN school is at that campus this time too so Im at it alone once again. Muncie really is great. We only have one teacher for now at Marion so that could be good, only one teaching style to get used to. Im interested in psych just not interested in taking the class lol. Your lucky you already have it out if the way! We are already registered for fall too and it is just ob/peds and clinicals and some other class I cant think of like health promotion maybe? but it is a 9 credit semester so still technically not a full time load.
  4. Yea once I finally get my RN Ive got my eyes set on Ball Memorial. Ill drive to Muncie for that one lol
  5. I did clinical at Westminster Village an really liked it there!! If I lived closer to Muncie that would be my first option to work. Its a nice clean facility for a LTC.
  6. Also when I was in the LPN program we only took one pharm class but it was a 3 credit class so that counted and I got to skip the advanced pharm this summer in the transition, thank goodness. I HATE pharm with a passion!
  7. Oh see I have to take mental health. So when you do go your summer will be like a one credit class! Sucks for me!
  8. Well I just had my orientation today. Even though Im only taking 4 credit hours this summer it seems like I can kiss my summer goodbye. I did get to skip two classes though so thats good. I just hope all goes well. I am going to have to cut way back on my hours at work which really sucks. I am full time now and will probably have to go to about two days a week. Im glad Ive been saving up money but Im also in the process of buying a house too so we will see how that plays out! Im pretty nervous really so I guess Ill just have to wait and see.
  9. Im actually attending the Marion campus this time around. A lot closer to home. I had to drive an hour and 15 min to the Muncie campus for my LPN first time around so Im pretty stoked about that. Ill let you know how it goes. I actually have orientation Friday. Im dreading school really. I hated it first time around and somethings telling me it probably wont be too much different now. Luckily I generally do alright in school its just a drag is all. Nursing school sure does know how to wear us thin!
  10. If your TEAS is that good I wouldn't worry about retaking that. An 80 is great honestly. I would jut retake anatomy 2 and psych since you will have a year for your region. If you get an A in either one of those you should have no problem getting in. Just as long as that is only you second attempt because I think your only allowed two attempts maybe three but Im not too sure.
  11. Wow what a bummer. You seriously had to have barely missed it =(
  12. You said you didnt get in with a TEAS of 80? How many points did you have if you dont mind me asking? I only had a 79 on my TEAS and I got in and my friend only got a 71 and got in as well. We both had all A's in our classes though.
  13. The dde28 was suppose to me an image btw
  14. Good luck to you as well. I know the TEAS this time around was way harder! I havent even started and Im already ready to get it over with lol. Im glad Im within two years of graduating so I at least get to skip the remeidiation course but still its going to be a rough year ?
  15. I just got accepted to the transition in the Muncie region. They didn't lose any teachers that I know of. I just graduated from there a few years ago and as far as I know all the teachers are still there. They have always just started their transition in summer only in the east region. If anything just take your TEAS again, shoot for a higher score and reapply next time.
