Loan forgiveness options? Help!
How'd you get on a site for nurses? I would like fries, but I'm eating healthier. Not because I need to, I'm naturally skinny.

Please quote me where I asked for you (the taxpayer) to repay my student loans. Reading comprehension. That's a fragment.

Loan forgiveness options? Help!
Um, this might surprise you, but my original plan for paying my loan was (and still is) to pay my loan. However, the payments are high. Did I know they would be high? Well sure, I did. I also know that student loan repayment options exist for people like me who had to utilize student loans, and that is what i am looking for. What I am not looking for is judgement from someone on the Internet, especially someone who does not even live in or near Seattle. I also never asked for someone to "cover" my loan amount. I am simply looking into repayment/forgiveness options. If you have nothing useful to offer, then please do not comment back. Your comment was absolutely unhelpful.

Loan forgiveness options? Help!
I seriously don't get how a hospital offering a contract to me or some other organization offering student loan forgiveness makes YOU "pay for my 'poor choices'"? As I said before, what is the poor choice here? Getting a higher education with student loans because my parents couldn't afford to pay my school for me, and I couldn't afford to pay for school at the time with my full time jobs? I don't see that as a poor choice, I see that as something I had to do at the time to better myself, and now I am paying for it--literally. I am not asking for any kind of bail out, but rather help in lowering my payments in exchange for me to utilize the skills I have learned while taking out these loans.

Personally, I would like to know what poor choices you think I made? Oh wait, I don't. But if it was using student loans to obtain a higher education, then sue me. But don't. I am using all my money on my student loans.

Loan forgiveness options? Help!
I'm sorry, Is it ok now to assume that people are dishonest and disingenuous for seeking out loan forgiveness/loan repayment options available to them? If so, please set me straight. Otherwise, do not comment. I asked for student loan repayment/forgiveness options available to me. The most anyone has offered so far on this forum has been to live frugally (which I already do) or to work on a reservation (which I plan to look into). Yoga back, Kamie

Loan forgiveness options? Help!
Thanks so much for the comment, but I have researched the cost of living for the Seattle area, and wouldn't you know, right outside of Seattle the cost of living is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than in Seattle itself (links included below). These refer mostly to the cost of living in general, however, we have also looked into the cost for commute. Our cost to commute from right outside Seattle is also significantly lower than our cost for housing in Seattle. Can't wait to visit the troll, are you always there? Loan forgiveness options? Help!
I asked for loan repayment options that exist in the Seattle area, not for someone to tell me that the funds I borrowed were expected to be repaid, and the difference between federal and private bank loans. If you read my original post, you'd know that I expect to repay them. I was just hoping to utilize a loan repayment plan/organization in order to lower them. If one does not exist, that's fine, at least I tried. Except that they do exist, and I have mentioned at least one already, and why that one does not work for me. If you have an actual suggestion for reducing my student loan amount or a suggestion for a hospital who offers contracts in exchange for loan payment, please comment. If not, you are not being helpful. I already make over the minimum payments and am just trying to plan ahead.

Loan forgiveness options? Help!
1. I'm sorry that you don't know that there are resources available to help you lower your payments/lower your overall loan repayment; resources that I am already utilizing. 2. I'm sorry that you chose to have 4 children with one on the way and aren't pursing any resources for loan forgiveness. 3. I choose to make my loan repayments as they are now while also pursuing options for loan repayment/forgiveness. 4. If you read my original post, you'd see that my husband and I BOTH work full time and also both pick up extra shifts regularly, while we don't have kids. I hear it's much easier to do without a house full of children. Birth control is a life saver.

Hello Roser13, What an honor to "hear" from you. I don't believe you took the time to actually read my post. What you did post was not appropriate to the question I asked. If you have an actual suggestion that could help me, then feel free to rephrase your comment.

Loan forgiveness options? Help!
You clearly haven't read my whole post, normally I wouldn't respond to someone who chose not to read the entire question, I WILL say that: 1. I DO work as a NICU Nurse. 2.I'm aware that Seattle is expensive. 3. I am not an idiot, contrary to what you seem to believe. What I AM asking is for something that you clearly can not help me with. Why did you answer this question? Oh wait you didn't, you just offered your extremely unhelpful opinion instead. I hope that you have more satisfaction in your real life than you portray here, on this forum.

What a refreshingly friendly comment! Thanks so much, we are excited for the move and new nursing opportunities. I will look into the Bellvue area, I'm sure it wouldn't be too expensive to live a few minutes outside of town and commute for cheaper housing. ☺ï¸

Loan forgiveness options? Help!
Thanks for the kind words! I'm not sure that it's necessarily that these trolls arent from arkansas, I think they are just rude haha. They obviously don't have out of control loan payments! My husband and I are hardworking and both work overtime regularly. I'm not sure what is giving people the impression that I am "not helping myself" or that I don't work. I have already applied and spoken with someone with the public service loan forgiveness, and my payments each month for the 10 year (or 120 payment) period are still crazy! It will save me a ton of money in the long run though, I am just looking for a way to get my monthly payment down some. Thanks again.

Want to be a nurse, just no butt wiping or other yucky stuff please
How come you can want to be a nurse but "HAVE" to do "the dirty work" to be one? Guess what, there are plenty of RN jobs that do not require butt wiping. Not wanting a job that requires you to wipe someone else's butt or clean their fat folds is perfectly ok! You should not be made to feel guilty for not wanting to do something so disgusting. Does someone have to do it? Yes. People need to be cared for and have their butts wiped and fat folds cleaned, but if you don't want to, don't get a job that requires it.
