  1. I was very much so expecting to have heard by now
  2. futureNc, were you notified of a federal financial aid package last Fall when you applied? I'm just curious as to whether or not that is an indication of the admission decision. I'm counting down the days!!!
  3. I know, I hope they wrap it up early too. I find myself checking my email several times a day in hopes that they may have made a decision! It's hard to keep myself from calling Sue and asking where they are in the process!! It's finals week for me right now, so in a way I'm kind of hoping that they hold off until next week so I can send it my final transcript.
  4. Ugh, I feel like I've missed out on so many possible financial assistance purely due to the unusual application timeline.
  5. Has anybody heard anymore?! It's almost May, which means we're that much closer to finding out! At least the wait will soon be over!
  6. Hi kpete1986, I applied for the October 2013 cohort and was just wondering when you heard your admission decision last year? During my phone interview, they said that they were hoping to have decisions earlier than the May 31st date, so I have my fingers crossed for that!!
  7. Congrats on getting a phone interview bkohl18! How do you feel it went?! I'm assuming you have prior CNA experience? And have you heard anything yet seastar13?! This waiting game is killing me!
  8. Have you heard anything back about a phone interview yet?! My fingers are crossed for you!
  9. Welcome seastar13! Be hopeful, there's been a number of people from past blogs that have said they've been accepted despite no CNA experience :) Are you from the WI area? And have you heard anything back about a phone interview yet?! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!
  10. Congrats on getting a phone interview skigal!! They sure scheduled it quick after your email interview! Probably a good sign :) I assuming they'll count your emt experience as the desired CNA experience, so you're probably good there! When I had my phone interview, they said they might be a couple weeks early with their admission decisions...did they give any clue as to how many phone interviews they grant/how many they have left? Soo nerve-racking!
  11. Oh wow, Oregon! And Congrats on the phone interview!! How do you feel it went? Do you have a lot of CNA experience?
  12. Well at least you have a fall back plan!! I talked to the financial aid office and they said that most people get only about half of the necessary funding through Oshkosh's loan offers. I was looking into the nursing repayment program, but yet again, you have to be already accepted
  13. Welcome!! I bet it felt good to cross the email interview off the list! Are you from WI area?
  14. I actually had it early this week! I thought it went good, they were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I just didn't like how I couldn't read facial expressions and cues! Have you heard anymore from them? I just secured a CNA job at my hometown hopsital, so I'm hoping that little bit of extra experience will help my case.
  15. I had my email interview late February. The only thing I didn't like about the phone interview was that there was no facial reactions. But they were very friendly and they made it very unintimidating. Do you have a pretty strong app? I don't have much CNA experience, so that worries.
  16. Hi there! I also applied to the October 2013 cohort. Next step is the phone interview. I got offered a phone interview about 2 weeks after the email interview, so I'm guessing you can expect about 2 weeks of waiting! Are you from WI area? I'll be graduating with my first degree (psychology) in May from University of North Dakota, and will be moving back to my hometown-rural northern MN-upon graduation.
  17. I know, I'm also surprised that there are no other blogs for this cohort. I'm trying to figure out finances too. I've applied to a couple scholarships, but again, it all goes back to the waiting game!! :/
  18. I know, 30 minutes isn't nearly enough time! And yes, I have it scheduled for next week! What a long process. I know that the October cohort has significantly more applicants than May's cohort. Past blogs have reported that some years, applicants didnt find out til even late June :/ I pray that's not the case this year!
  19. How exciting!! Best of luck to you!!! And yes, from what I've read from past blogs, it's very normal to be completing the TEAS test after the app deadline. My worry with just finishing my degree is that they'll view it as a "missing prereq". I don't know how they score the applications, but there probably has to be some type of point system in place to rate the applications.
  20. How did your online interview go?!?
  21. Of course! It's just an email interview basically. They send you the questions (at a time of your choice) and you have 30 minutes to reply back via email with your responses. And that's good about your TEAS results. I've read that they way pretty heavily on that, so that's good for you! My biggest concern (aside from lack of CNA experience) is that I'll be graduating in May with my first BS. Even though I have all the prereqs, I'm afraid that will count against me.
  22. Mine took about 30 hours until it was posted on the website!! Don't worry about it! At least they send the results straight to Oshkosh. How'd you feel you did? Everybody recommended doing buying a study packet from ATI, but I decided to go without it :/
  23. Good luck to you too!! From what I've gathered from past cohort blogs, the biggest thing that the admissions committee is concerned with is past CNA experience- which worries me because I only have about 3 months of hospital experience.
  24. Hello! I also applied for the October 2013 cohort. I just had my online interview today. The waiting is the hardest part!
  25. Hi Katie,I just sent in my app for October 2013 cohort. I was just wondering if you could give me details on the admissions process and stats! Thanks in advance for any help!
