Thanks Libran1984 & Thecommuter for your post. I will follow your advice because calls from work surely messes with my sleep and i am new to this business so im still learning alot too.- Calls from work gave me insomnia afterwards
I love my job and as nurse, but sometimes its hard when i get home and fellow nurses call me to confirm something during my shift and most of the time it is not very important, then i cant sleep anymore coz i just want to get back to work so i can fix it. I work nights so il be back the same day but they cant wait!! :-(- For all you LPN/LVN's out there, was it hard to find a job after graduation?

thank you....no i only finished my LPN and going to get my RN so i cant compare which is harder...but the LPN exam was not too bad....just confusing...and most of the questions were analytical...i cant even remember most of the questions which is really weird. Just know the content and practice practice practice.....you can do it.....pinay power hehehe- Got good pop up but still worried!!

I was also thinking the same way....i kept checking because i was scared it will changed and go to cc.......you pass...congrats- Got good pop up but still worried!!
Thank you guys.....heres what i did to prepare for the exam...for those of you who wants to know 1 month preparation I purchased the Kaplan q bank-and I answered 1000 questions and after that I took again the questions i didn't answer correctly I bought kaplan book to study for strategies (its an awesome book, only 14 bucks at amazon)used these strat to practice answering the tests( aside from that i paid the 2 days course(those 2 days weren't very helpful, since i read the book already, and the course was basically teaching you how to use the strategies, so i would not suggest the course instead just buy the book and the q-bank) Kaplan encouraged you to use these strategies in every questions.....but when i took the test i only applied the strategies to questions i was having trouble answering. Kaplan strat didnt apply to all my NCLEX questions anyway....yet i will recommend you to purchase the book and the q-bank Tips for kaplan: Kaplan questions are way harder than the real NCLEX but it helped me because i had to review topics that i wasn't very familiar with, i did flashcards for some info like labs, normal values, also when you are used to practicing hard questions.....it would be easier to answer easy structured questions. My Kaplan readiness score was 70%....my q banks scores were 58%-68%. Last 2 weeks(unexpected review materials) i was reading blogs at allnurses and a lot of them mentioned exam cram and priority and delegation.I purchased them in a 1 day delivery. Priority and delegation by Lacharity Very helpful book for me....it is a must book...it gave me confidence answering those questions like "who do you see first" "which patient can be delegated to the LPN or CNA....those type of questions... I didn't answer the case study part...but the book is structured nicely...you must buy this book... Last week of studying Exam Cram Questions were easier than Kaplan, they advised to get at least 77% before you take the test. I only got 73% and took it anyway I answered 20 at a time then checked and grade my answers, i read the rationales too both right and wrong answers. If you are a morning person then schedule your test in the morning....i'm not so i took it at 2:00pm....I took aspirin before i checked in because i always have a headache in the middle any nursing tests( i didn't do that during nursing school but hey! its NCLEX exam, plus i was preparing myself in case i get to answer the maximum 265 questions (who wouldn't have a headache sitting for 5 hours answering 265 questions?) It is a torture. Lastly, hydrate yourself....don't take NCLEX hungry....bring jacket with you...and believe PVT . Goodluck to all of you who and congratulations to those who passed it already...- Got good pop up but still worried!!
Wow congratulations!!!!! i did check BON today and i passed!!!!!- Got good pop up but still worried!!
Yay if the pop us real then congratulations to both of us ...... I dont usually get up this early but today i am coz i want to check if PVT still works lol- LVN Licensure Test
I did Kaplan 2 days session with the q banks Prioritization and Delegation byLacharity--- Exam cram I just took the test today did the PV trick and i got the good pop up....hope it is true- Failed NCLEX- PN last week.. needing HELP PLEASE!
Hello-I just took my exam today and got the good pop up at PVT I hope its real. 2 weeks ago i saw your post (this post) I printed it because it is very thorough, since i didn't have much time left before my test i just had to study the Prioritization and delegation book plus the exam cram (take note: I had this book for awhile and didn't open it until i read your post ) I was taking the kaplan 2 days course and almost done with my q banks at that time, so the remaining 2 weeks was basically P&D and exam cram...My average grade for exam cram was 73% and the kaplan readiness was 70%. Anyway....thank you for your post....i haven't gotten my result yet but i got a good pop up so i'm crossing fingers....- Got good pop up but still worried!!
Just took NCLEX PN today 02/04/2013 ...at 2:00pm, i finished the exam around 4pm with 85 questions. Well i was really hoping to answer only 85 questions because I don't think I can answer all 265 in 5 hours. English is my 2nd language so I had to read the stem twice to make sure i understand it right ...questions were long.....phewww :(Felt jittery and nervous....(hungry,tired,feeling dumb, scared) after the test...i tried PVT 15 times already and it and keeps saying............ "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." But I still am worried and part of me doesn't believe the good pop up.......because most of my answers were basically just a guess.....maybe i only had 10 sure correct answers. I am hoping I passed it... - Calls from work gave me insomnia afterwards
