Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hello guys, I'm for 29 April ACFE..but I don't have a visa yet. I was expecting it last 21 March but as of today the status is still under process. Does any of you have an idea what happens if we arrive later than our intake schedule. I e-mailed ACFE last Monday informing them of my status but they have no response. I was hoping I'd belong to the visa decision today to my disappointment, I'm not. Thanks.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
HI ENILOCIN, did you send it today, for what intake? How did you pay for the $250 application fee? do you have a schedule for interview already? Well, according to some friends..first they ask you about personal things, like yourself, school, work, experiences, expectations as a nurse in Australia. The following questions are nursing work related. You will be asked how would you manage or deal with a certain situation/scenario; nursing managements, conflict resolutions..something like that. I will send my papers tomorrow also. I'm hoping to get a slot for April. ACFE is my last chance or else my LOE expires and will have to start all over again. Sigh.

Re-application to AHPRA and Bridging School problems
Hi! How did you reapply? Did you inform AHPRA to cancel you current LOE? Did you submit the same documents you had before or did you prepare a new set and new certification. Thanks.

For those whose intake schedules are beyond the validity of their LOE, like most nurses, AHPRA also declined my request. They had been very firm with their policy to provide no extension and to finish the program before eligibility expires. Even when you have enrolled and started the program but the LOE expires before the BP finishes, LOE is still expired and no considerations will be given. We have to complete the BP before the LOE expires. This is so sad...

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
I just sent my application today, but according to their email last night, they are still finalizing their June and Sept interviews and advised me to just send my application.

I emailed ANMAC on this but I did not receive a reply yet. I'll try to inquire in AHPRA also. I have similar concerns, esp. the application fee.

[email protected] is their accreditation ok already? Do all applicants usually pass the interview? Their application fee is so expensive and non refundable.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hi! Alpine health is still open for June intake. I'd like to know, for those who enrolled with them if the 5,500 for accommodation and transport are compulsory? Thanks. ACFE is accepting for June also but I'm quite skeptical about their accreditation.

Thanks for your suggestions. What e-mail address did you send the request for extension? Is it directly to your case managers account (i think it was noted not to reply there because it's not monitored) or to AHPRA's web enquiry link?

Bridging Program in Australia
hi marklouiemarco, 12 days, yes...i received my offer letter today, also 12 days after verification of documents. Maybe it's because they give 2 weeks to an applicant to secure his slot before offering the cancelled ones to others. Thank you. But geez, the scheduled intake is one month after my LOE expires. Which do you think is a better option? Apply to other schools or contact AHPRA? Gracias.

Anyone here who had experienced requesting for extension of LOE's validity? What's the likelihood that they would grant your request? and how soon would they respond to us? please share me your thoughts? Thanks.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
hi chelseaxyrene, I have received my offer letter from AHPRA 12 days after verification of my documents. The problem is that the intake schedule available are 23rd August in Perth and 13th September; my LOE expires in August 2. They advised me to contact AHPRA to confirm validity of my decision letter. Given the tough competition in seat availability. What do you think is the better option, to contact AHPRA or apply in another school? Are you the one from Davao? Thanks.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hi, I had the same problem with the second part. What I did was I contacted my university, showed them the letter from AHPRA and asked them to compute the clinical and theoretical hours for each subject taken from 1st year - 4th year. Then, I requested them to reflect it on my official TOR (I was lucky the registrar agreed and considered it a special case), in my course curriculum and another document detailing the breakdown of all nursing subjects taken with specific no. of hours and and with a total. for the third problem, those data, i believe are found in certificate of employment. in my case, i asked the hospital to label it as "statement of service". it includes the specified details as above and if i remember it right, I attached also the copy of my job description. My signatories are the Nursing director, the HR head and the hospital administrator. I only submitted a certified copy. (notarized) the original copies i sent are the application form and CV - with certification from the HR that it is true and correct. The rest of the documents are Certified Copy - Notarized. for problem number one, i think you should have the document be certified again. make sure that the details are clear, ei. the stamp should be on blank areas of the paper. these are my thoughts. I hope this can help.

Bridging Program in Australia
Have you received receipt of application? i was advised to wait for 2-4 weeks after I sent my documents but I received it after 2 weeks. And usually after another 2 weeks your case manager will contact you and you will know if you have outstanding requirements. From there and depending on your case manager, processing could be as fast as one month or up to 90 days. Why don't you try calling their office if they have received your documents. Good luck!
