Hi texastornado! How many days a week did you have clinical labs and how long do those classes last? I will have to work but I'm going down to part time (two 12hr shifts weekends only). I really hope that is doable. I work nights and it's always super slow so a lot of people get in some good study hours and homework while working overnight at my job so I'm hoping that works in my favor. Were there any days throughout the week you didn't have class?

I'm debating on if I want to choose Baptist as my first preference or Deaconess. I plan on working part time. I work 12 hr shifts now at a hospital so I think I'll go down to two 12hr shifts a week, only on the weekend since it seems we'll be busy during the week.

Hey everyone! I just spoke to (you all know who) in admissions and he said we will most likely get emails before the 1st. He said the nursing director will be out of the office all next week and will return on Mon 2-25. He has to wait for her to return so that he can submit everything to her and we will most likely receive our emails that day or the next. Good luck everyone!

Yes I hear BADNAP is very intense! Is anyone planning on working while in the program (if accepted of course)? I've been told you will eat, sleep and breathe BADNAP! Hopefully we all get accepted, I check my email everday just in case they decide to surprise us with an early update.

Have you thought about the NP program? I know there are very few differences between NPs and PAs. I originally wanted to become a PA too but then decided if I go through nursing school NP would be a better fit for me.

I still haven't been able to get ahold of the admission advisor to find out how many applicants there are but I do know that if you have all of your prereqs complete, you will get chosen over someone who is still taking classes regardless of GPA. For example, if you have a 2.5 GPA (which is the minimum) and all prereqs complete you will be chosen over someone who has a 4.0 GPA but still taking prereqs. That came directly from the advisor himself :). I will try calling again today. I'm hoping the count is under 72, if so then that means we all got accepted right? lol.

Yes. The past few years they haven't been able to fill the class of 60 so that's why they loosened the requirements this year and changed it to 72. Last year they only had 20 applicants. The admissions advisor said most likely everyone will get in. Since they were at 50 applicants 2 days before the deadline he doubted they would reach 72. Good luck to you too. I was told emails will go out on March 1st.

I applied. I submitted everything on Jan 30th and the advisor said so far there were 50 applicants. He said this year they are accepting 72 and that most likely a few more people would turn in their apps on the deadline date.
